The first part of the synopsis is strange to me. It's already the wedding weekend and he hasn't picked out his date yet? We'll see how it plays out.
It also breaks the first rule of weddings: if you're not in a relationship, don't bring a date. If I were Ted I'd already be eyeing Robin's sister who must be in her early 20's by now.

Robin was wearing the dress from the promo picture, but not the shoes.
I wish Marshall would hurry up and get there already.

As for the episode, this one actually had me laughing the most so far this season. For once, I actually bought Ted being a normal dude stuck in a bad situation with the whiney chick, as opposed to his normal douchyness creating the bad situation. And although it might not be the most timely reference, the Holy Grail knight wound up being pretty legen......dary.

I actually thought that was a really good episode. Reminded me of the earlier seasons. Plus, I'm all for seeing Anna Camp in anything.

Yeah, I'm still liking this season so far, although I wish we had a few more flashforward scenes with the mother. I was skeptical about the "season in a weekend" gimmick, but I think they've done a pretty creative job so far keeping it moving and giving the characters things to do.
And Lily looked great as 'Robin' in the "Have you Met Ted?" scene.

I liked it too.
I think no ones has mentioned this, but Anna Camp was in the episode. I had a really hard time with my pants during those scenes.

The last one of the Knight actually trying to save Ted from making another poor decision made the running gag even better.

I liked the knight but thought they should have gone with "wisely" when he was checking out Ted's tip on the bill. It would have just reinforced that Ted is just awful with women instead of awful at everything.
I also enjoyed 'black' Lily.

I thought this episode was good. For once Ted had a great plot. I think a lot of us have been in similar situations. Barney nailed it when he said that you need to find your wedding hook up during drinks on Friday night. The Holy Grail gag was well done too. And I suppose I'm the only one here that thinks Anna Camp is attractive.
The Barney and Robin stuff was ok. I thought the end bit where they revealed their relationship to the reverend was good. So was the reverend calling them 'boozy manhatannites'. I can relate.
Lily/Marshall dragged the episode though but even they had their moments.
