Title of show needed

I'm looking for the title of a show that came out on Netflix a few years ago, it was a foreign 7 part series about this cop that was sent to a remote village (somewhere cold) as a punitive move by his superiors. Events happen and I'm sure he becomes a hero. It is a one word title I think.
It was well reviewed so I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time finding it. :(

Lilyhammer. Matches your description but he's not a cop, he's a mobster in witness protection who chooses that location due to the '92 Olympics.

Nope it's not Lillyhammer, that search came up easily. "Oslo" doesn't give me anything on IMDB

nope, pretty hot in Africa. none of the slaves police officers that I know of..
