Yeah, only the US and Japan have Hulu, so all the other territories have the extra Star tile on Disney+, which has Hulu originals, Fox and ABC properties, mature content, etc. I wonder if the Netflix shows will end up in the Marvel or Star section? (when Star was added to Disney+, so were parental controls, so adding them to the Marvel section might not be problematic)

I’m plowing through these shows before they get yanked at the end of the month because I assumed they’d go to Hulu which I don’t have.
I can’t imagine this amount of violence will be on Disney plus.

Punisher is TV-MA content with F bombs dropped. Hell, the 1st episode of Luke Cage has a pretty erotic sex scene with Luke and Misty. I would be shocked if it ends up on Disney + in the states.

More than likely these end up on Hulu.

That’s why I deleted my post. Surprised you even saw it before I deleted it. I misread the quote.

Thankfully for me, I don’t have to binge watch the Netflix series in a few days.

I'm rewatching S1 of daredevil right now. I forgot how good this show was. The amount of violence and language. There is no way this would be a D+ show.

With recent Marvel projects acknowledging the Netflix shows, I finally started watching these having just finished Luke Cage S2 last night.

For the most part, I've liked all of them with DD probably being my favourite. D'Onofrio's Fisk is just an amazing portrayal. I like Charlie Cox as the DD as well and hope they actually make a film with the character again.

Isn't it already an open secret that Matt Murdock/Daredevil will be appearing the She-Hulk series?

Wonder if that's the "future MCU project" in question, or something else we don't know about...

Re: Marvel / Netflix projects discussion thread - news, rumors, etc.

On March 16, Disney+ will add more Marvel live-action series titles to its expansive content offering in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand with the addition of “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist,” “The Defenders,” and “The Punisher,” plus “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in the U.S., giving fans access to more from the Marvel collection, all in one place. With the addition of these titles, Disney+ will concurrently release an update to its Parental Controls in the U.S. that will prompt all subscribers to update their settings.

“Disney+ has served as the home for some of the most beloved brands in the industry, and the addition of these live-action shows brings more from the Marvel brand together, all in one place,” said Michael Paull, President of Disney Streaming. “We have experienced great success with an expanded content offering on Disney+ across our global markets and are excited to continue that here in the U.S. as well by offering our consumers not only great content with the new Marvel additions, but also a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family.”

These Marvel series will also be available across all other Disney+ markets later this year.

Marvel on Disney+

The dedicated Marvel brand page on Disney+ already serves as home to the largest Marvel collection with hundreds of hours of movies and shows. This includes the Marvel Studios movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as “Avengers: Endgame” and “Black Panther” as well as other Marvel movie franchises like “X-Men”; Disney+ Original series like “WandaVision,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” “Loki,” and “Hawkeye”; animated series, including the Disney+ Original series from Marvel Studios, “What If…?”; specials and shorts, and documentaries that go behind the scenes like “Marvel Studios Assembled.”

Updates to Parental Controls in the U.S.

When opening Disney+ for the first time on or after March 16, all subscribers in the U.S. will be prompted to update their Parental Controls. This includes the option to select content ratings restrictions for each profile as well as to add a PIN to lock profiles. Those that choose to keep their settings the same will continue to enjoy Disney+ as they always have within a TV-14 content rating environment, with the option to make changes at any time under Profile settings.

I was going to say… yeah, this needs to be done.
And it might be the impetus for Disney to put more “adult” properties on their service.

Cheo Hodari Coker, who was the showrunner of Luke Cage, is happy about the move and hopes they will be open to creating new bonus material like commentaries and retrospectives.

I thought Luke Cage, for the most part, was great. Especially the soundtracks that have gotten me into all this new music. I'd certainly like to see the character return in some form.

I'm glad to see them on Disney Plus in the US, rather than Hulu. That way I can still watch them commercial free.

I wonder if this means any of the Defenders characters may return for further seasons or show up in other MCU projects. It would be cool to get more Daredevil for sure. The others I didn’t watch.

If you believe the various spoiler sites, Marvel has a lot of plans for Cox as Daredevil in the next few years. He'll show up in a few different places.

I would think that DD would pop up in Echo and JJ and LC would pop up in She-Hulk. They can leave IF out of it.

Yeah, that's what I assumed was going to happen. When Star was added to Disney+ here in Canada, parental controls were added the same time, so I figured these Netflix Marvel shows would end up in the Marvel section. It makes more sense for US Disney+ to add parental controls as well rather than throwing these shows on Hulu. I'm sure Disney would much rather keep all the Marvel material together in one section.

Yeah, I'm good with DD, JJ and Cage popping up, but Iron Fist needs to be completely retooled (and maybe recast).

I feel like the end of Iron Fist Season 2 seemed to be setting it up for an interesting retooling.

If they do bring back Iron Fist, it needs to be on a Heroes for Hire show. Or... reintroduce the character within the Shang-Chi films.

Jessica Jones was re-named aka Jessica Jones on Disney +
