Re: Marvel's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist & Defenders coming to Net
Gritty crime drama works very well for Daredevil. It is the closest character Marvel has to Batman. I expect this series to be somewhat similar to Nolan's Batman. And for the last fricking time, the black costume is temporary. It has been confirmed as much. The red costume will be in there as well. Good grief Charlie Brown. Comic fanboys are the absolute worst when it comes to this. They criticize everything no matter what.

Nobody gives a shit about Moon Knight. I bet 99 out of 100 people have never even heard of him.
Daredevil is Marvel's Batman. Daredevil is popular (relatively speaking). Daredevil has held his own ongoing series since the 1960s. Moon Knight has had attempts at holding his own ongoings, but they always get canceled within a year or so due to nobody ever buying them. Daredevil has critically acclaimed runs from Miller, Bendis, and Brubaker. Speaking of Frank Miller, he reinvented Daredevil into the ultimate ninja badass in the 1970s and then did the same to Batman in the 1980s. (Yes, I know Denny O'Neil started going into darker territory with Batman in the 70s, but Miller took it farther like he did with Daredevil.)

I don't get it.
I don't need wikipedia. My brain is wikipedia when it comes to comics. I don't smile either. Comics are serious business.

I mentioned this in the Agents of SHIELD thread, but the guy they cast as Mack (Henry Simmons) would have made a great Cage. I wonder if he gets confused on set with people saying "Simmons" all the time...

oh well, moot point.
but let's see what Colter looks like beefed up (most of the pictures I've seen, he looks more on the slender side).

Have they cast Daniel Rand yet?

Omg. I never heard of cage till I got that issue. Lol. I think I got it at an antique store. Love the heroes for hire stuff. Then Bendis made him worth a damn again.

Might as well say Superman is DC's Spider-Man based on similar phonetics, tights, and popularity. You don't come off as a comic fan, you come off as my Mom who thinks "Hulk Hogins" is an "Ax-Man" as she holds up an Iron Man toy for my nephew.
Oh, and Entertainment weekly just had a bit on Moon Knight... wanna guess how it started?

Even in a world where Guardians of the Galaxy is playing in theaters, Moon Knight is an obscure character. Long seen as Marvel’s odd Batman analogue.

Moon Knight is still considered a joke. The last time Moon Knight had any sort of relevance was in the mid-90's when wunderkind Stephen Platt drew him until the end of the series run before being drafted into the Image Comics fold to draw Prophet.

I kind of dug that series w/ David Finch as the artist....unfortunately... I only remember the art and not the stories.

Pretty sure that wasn't the only time they had sex. But i honestly dont remember. But if it was, it certainly wasn't the only orifice on that specific night, because it was HEAVILY implied.

That may be the absolute dumbest thing anyone has ever said to me. Haven't you noticed that probably 95% of my posts on DVDTalk are about comic books? Comics are by far my biggest obsession and hobby. I practically live and breathe them.

Warren Ellis relaunched Moon Knight this year and it's supposed to be pretty awesome. But he only stuck around for one arc.

Cables thighs also look like they're bigger than Tony's (armored-up) waist.
