Really a departure of an episode. Not quite sure what to make of it just yet. This season continues to be uneven and a disappointment.

I almost miss the Dana storyline. That was a very unpleasant hour of TV.
I have no idea where this show is going this season, but it better get there in a damn hurry.

Random thing that only bothers me: people can "recover" for weeks or days in the movies or TV and have no facility to pee while unconcious or even when they wake up.

While we're talking realism here, how about this:
The guy in the mosque calls the police to say that the most wanted man in the world is in his temple and exactly two cops show up to get him.

I have been defending this show to friends who have said its gone downhill after Season 1, and I can't defend it anymore. The creators really don't know where to take this show, and this reminds of me midway through the Soprano's 4th season where it just got dull and lacked any direction.
I am usually enthralled for all 60 minutes of every episode, but last night I was checking my twitter account on my phone the whole episode to see what people were saying about Homeland, and 99% of the tweets said this show has jumped the shark.

It's because they feel like they need to stick with Brody as a main character. Yes the original concept of the show was, "was he turn or not?" But the show needs to move past that into new threats and characters. The writing is awful now.

Homeland is suffering the same fate, as they probably mapped out 1 or 2 seasons of the Brody plot, and once he was exposed they didn't have anything written after. In a sense, they probably should not have exposed him for another season or two as that was more interesting then post-exposed Brody.

Hmm, saw the first episode, but judging by the comments, I might save myself quite a few hours by not catching up.
