Criminal Minds--"About Face"--10/31/07--Joe Mantegna's debut

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
The team searches for a serial killer who taunts victims by sending out “missing” fliers about them before he kidnaps and murders them. New series regular Joe Mantegna makes his first appearance as Special Agent David Rossi. Erin Strauss: Jayne Atkinson. Det. Yarbough: Michael O'Neill. Michelle: Sandra Dee Robinson.

Looking forward to tonight's episode with Mantegna's debut. The premise sounds quite interesting.

An interesting note, the episode is directed by Skip Sudduth who played "Sully" on Third Watch, which Ed Bernero, CM's showrunner, previously worked on as showrunner.

Was it necessary to post that it was his debut in the title of the thread? I mean really....

Not everyone here knows that Mantegna is joining the cast as evidenced by post #2.

Plus, he's a pretty high profile addition to this show.

The new guy proves he's hardcore old school by calling the unsub impotent on TV news. (Hotch would have said he was "experiencing ED".)

I only tuned into this show to see Joe Mantegna. Never seen an episode before and probably won't afterward. How different was the show with Mandy?

i would actually give this show a second watch if i was you. i think last night dealt a lot with setting up mantegna's character and felt a little off the normal path to me.

Very good episode.

Loved the new opening credits with Joe as the lead and Thomas Gibson at the very end. I also noticed it was a brand spanking new cast photo at the very end.

I like how they introduced David Rossi and it will be interesting to see if he continues to have conflicts with Hotchner. I noticed some minor continuity problems with Mantengna's goatee. When he was speaking with Erin Strauss, he was clean shaven, then later in the episode the goatee reappeared.

IMO, this is probably CBS' best procedural drama right now.

Criminal Minds - "Lucky" - 11/14/07

Don't know if anyone caught this episode, but dang that ending really was something (both of them):

Spoiler:
First, the reveal that the serial killer had served the searchers food made of the remains of the person they were searching for. And then the teaser end with Garcia getting shot (though I saw that one coming).

Great ending! The show is on a roll.....Best and most consistent procedural on right now. The Chili twist was quite a shocker especially with the Priest going ballistic.

Are you sure it's a new episode tonight?

According to this article...

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...b799fb5030ac49

....CBS also has made a decision to take originals of "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: NY" out of tonight's lineup to save them for later in the season. That should work well because Thanksgiving Eve generally has lower Households Using Television levels anyway. ...

Anyone on the East Coast can confirm this for this West Coaster?

CBS' web site has not mentioned a scheduling change as well as TV Guide's web site. Or unless this change was very very last minute. I guess I'll find out in 3 hours (West Coast time) Or if anyone is watching on the East, please see if it is airing in 5 minutes.

I thought this was a pretty good episode and a good 2 -part story arc, glad CBS didn't air a repeat because of Thanksgiving.

Looks like (from the preview) Frankie Muniz is guest starring next week.

Criminal Minds---"Lo-Fi"---SEASON FINALE---5/21/08

For some reason Criminal Minds really gets no love here, even though IMO it's probably one of the best procedural dramas on TV right now.

Season Finale is tonight

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

In the third-season finale, a series of murders with no apparent pattern to tie the crimes together sends the team to New York City to determine if it's the work of a serial killer or a team of killers. Det. William LaMontagne Jr.: Josh Stewart. Kate Joyner: Sienna Guillory. Det. Brustin: Jack McGee. Det. Cooper: Erik Palladino. Lisa Bartleby: Moe Daniels.
