Wow I didn't even notice Andy Mcfee. Will have to pay more attention next time. And as for life after DC, what about Katie Holmes?

Katie was the star of DC, I didn't really count her, mainly talking about the extended friends. The other one that I see on a semi-regular basis on TV is Kerr Smith (Jack).

Yes. I like it. I'm a fan of Mandy Patinkin, so I enjoy the show. It's more than just a show like Law and Order where they follow the evidence to find the criminal. In this, there's alot of profiling and psychology used.

I agree completely. I think this is the best new drama this season.

I also enjoy the show. I especially like the Mandy Patinkin character along with the young "genius" character. I think his name is Dr. Reid on the show.

I've seen an episode here and there when there is no conflict with Lost. I like the show. I'll probably catch more of it when Lost and Veronica Mars is in rerun.

I've seen every episode, and I love it. It's one of my favorite shows. It sure got a lot better after the pilot episode.

Also one of my favorite new shows of the season. I really enjoy all the characters and like way they all play off each other.

Criminal Minds - "Blood Hungry" - 12/14

"Blood Hungry"
Spoiler:
Hotchner and his team attempt to get inside the mind of a psychotic killer whose fantasies lead him to murder.

Figured I would start a thread for the new episode tonight since it appears a few people watch it.

Lost and Veronica Mars are repeats tonight so hopefully more people will tune in. You can pretty much jump right in if you haven't seen it before.

Good, but it wasn't as good as when Gideon is in the field w/ the team.

I guess I wasn't paying attention but why was Gideon insisting on using Garcia's office to do all his research?

In this episode I also appreciated how despite this taking place in the deep south, they did not portray the local sherrif and his officers as being bumbling, back woods, corrupt, inept, and uncooperative as is the standard practice in crime shows whenever the feds or a northeast area law enforcement team is involved. That is an overused gimmick.

I agree. Not a good episode to air if you are trying to draw in a new audience with everything else in repeats.

So is Mandy Patinkin leaving the show or what?

He just seems to be getting distanced from the cast and the cases a little bit and that is the only reason I can think of.

Just out of curosity, how does each show end? I saw an episode that ended with Mandys' character walking out some roadside shop being followed by a man with a gun, and him realizing this.
Is this the norm?
By the way, I really did like the show and I saw this episode when I was on holiday in the states in November. We do not have this show in the UK yet.

That was the first episode. I thought they were going to keep going with that type of thing, but that storyline went away quickly.

I thought that ending was a little too jarring, but it definitely got me interested in the show.

The endings are usually just the solving of the case and some witty closing banter.

I had no idea that was the first episode. It was one where a killer was getting his victims by testdriving a car he was selling, that was the first?
Anyway, I enjoyed it.

I don't think so but stranger things have happened. I like his character and what he brings to the show.

Yeah I like his character too, I am hoping he doesn't leave because that will take a lot away from the show.

I really thought the guy at the gas station occured during the first 20 minutes of the pilot, with Patinkin telling his students his story until he is abruptly interupted and brought back into the field.

The pilot ended on it, but they came back to it in the next episode.

I think what you are referring to is that in the beginning of the pilot he is talking about it but they didn't go into any flashbacks at that point IIRC.

Thanks, I guess I missed the pilot, because the first one I watched had the flashback and he said he knew why he stuttered, then he is on the plane and the story is dropped.

Criminal Minds - The Fisher King 2 - 9/20/06

Time to renew my tradition from last season. Watch shows a day late. Make the thread a day late. Get 3 or 4 posts max.

Whatever. Did anyone watch this? I forgot how last season ended, but watching this season's premier brought it all back. I love this kind of episode. It was different from other procedurals. It was more like a treasure hunt of sorts. I know not all of the episodes are like this, but this 2 parter was probably the best bit of crime TV I've ever seen.
