I didn't know it was a repeat. Also, I fell asleep about 5 minutes before it ended so I have no idea what happened. I don't really care, so it's all good.

My thoughts exactly. I realize the episode was called "doubt" and all, but that's just mean. I like closure.

edit- Goldberg, thanks for the link to the original thread - at least I got to see how america voted. (and I agree with the posters - the choices sucked). They really should have taken five seconds before the ending credits to post the web poll results.

This one was a great episode IIRC. It's not the first time L&O has left us hanging and it won't be the last. So you didn't see the verdict and it left you wondering (thinking). No big deal. That is exactly what the writer and director intended - to make you wonder.

The L&O:SVU section on TVTome has a link to the page with the poll on it, and its still around 61% Innocent.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ** Season Finale** (05/24/05)

GOLIATH
10pm 2005-05-24 ALL NEW!

Spoiler:
VIOLENT POLICE BEHAVIOR IS LINKED TO AN ANTI-MALARIA DRUG, ADMINISTERED TO THEM BY THE U.S. ARMY-When two Police officers from separate precincts attack their wives and demonstrate suicidal behavior, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Chris Meloni) investigate, and connect the incidents to both men serving in the same Reserve unit in Afghanistan. Linking this behavior to a similar trail of attacks in 2002 by officers, Benson and Stabler connect this to a drug called Quinium, which the Army prescribes to fight malaria. When they discover that the Army is aware of its side affects, Novak (Diane Neal) goes after the government for administering the drug. Meanwhile, Detective Stabler faces some tough personal issues at home with his wife. Dann Florek, Richard Belzer, Ice-T and B.D. Wong also star. TV-14

Hopefully this will be a great ending to a great season...

... that and Elliot will keep his cool.

It was a terrible ending to a great season. At least we have the other 21 episodes.

Last week's episode was amazing and should have been the finale (except Olivia wasn't in it).

I agree it was a pretty boring episode.

I was surprised Munch wasn't more involved with all the conspiracy theories.

I wanted a Rummy guest spot where he goes off on Casey, you'd think Thompson would have some sway to make that happen.

It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. I did like Novak going off on Branch but other than that it was lackluster.

I came in to say the same exact thing. I kept saying, "is this an SVU episode?"

I did love Arthur's comment about firing people though.

I kept thinking I was watching Jacob's Ladder without the special effects.

I did love Arthur's comment about firing people though.
Yeah, caught that.

So is L&O and CSI having a HBO alum battle? I could not get past that cop as Robson.

I must have missed the firing line, or at least I can't recall it. What was it?

And what happened to this plot point from the synopsis?

Meanwhile, Detective Stabler faces some tough personal issues at home with his wife.

Was his wife even mentioned?

It was after Branch called Casey up to his office after she issued the subpoenaes amd he told her something like "I've been known to fire people" pointing to when he fired Serena earlier in the year in the original

I kept thinking the same thing. I think almost everyone who stared in Oz has made their way to at least a cameo in a L&O show. The only person I know of who was in L&O first is J.K. Simmons.

Chris Meloni started on SVU before he did OZ, IIRC.

SVU started in September 1999.

Chris first appeared in the 12th episode of Oz on August 3, 1998.

Okay episode, but, I expected more bang from a season finale...this was just a run of the mill ho hum episode. That cop as Robson was some funny casting! Thought he looked familiar.

Last night on USA they aired the episode "Ridicule" from back in 2001 when Diane Neal played the day trader that raped the male stripper.

Diane Neal is better known now as ADA Casey Novak.

Kind of funny.
