As expected. So weird how one person can put so many folks out of work. I mean I get it, yall loved Farris...but still, it's like everyone including the show writers just gave up.

I hope people don't make Faris the scapegoat. The show ran 8 seasons. That's a good run for a sitcom, especially one (from a pop culture perspective) that was just sort of there, chugging along on CBS.

unowned and expensive. A season 9 would mean new contracts and the network doesn’t really need this one anymore.

True 8 seasons was a good run. But she did start the "end it" ball rolling. That can't be denied.

If she didn't leave last year she would have left after 8 regardless (end of contract).
She probably hit a bit of a quarantine induced midlife crisis.

It's been a while, but I really liked this week's show. And laughed quite a few times. One of them was when Bonnie was reading on her couch next to her dog. Closes the book and says to him "You were right. I don't like to read." Cute.

Another really good episode this week. Figures, the show is finally finding it's footing without Faris and will end soon.

As I've said before, the relationships the AA Women have has been my favorite part of the show and that has been there for several seasons.

I'm really loving this show again. Going to be sad to see it leave. I think it could have stuck around for at least 2-3 more seasons. Such a shame.

Yeah I love Bonny and Tammy's relationship. They did great job bringing those two together. Gonna miss this show.

Eh, the Bonnie/Tammy meltdown felt a little flat to me. It's sorta looking like they went into this not knowing this was the final season. There are what, three left?

Only one episode to go. Looks like a big wrap-up of the Bonnie Plunkett saga. She showed real growth in this week's episode.
It's definitely one of the more compelling sitcoms I've ever watched.

Will they even mention Christie? I'm still holding out hope for the return of Christie's kids.

Mention Christie when, on the last episode? Who knows. They've mentioned her plenty of times this entire season. I'm not sure why they need to mention her again. The show is about these other 5 women now. And there is probably zero chance Christie's kids are going to return at this point. You know, I was the first person who said this show didn't work without Faris. But as time went on, it rebounded beautifully. And I actually fell in love with it again. I'm pretty pissed that CBS didn't give it another season or two before pulling the plug. It was their best sitcom.

Anna Faris could not just hang on for the final season and come back?

Also, this show continues to give me such anxiety. Watching them act together so closely during this pandemic without masks. Like when the ladies are crammed into that booth to have food together. And then that awards ceremony at the end of this week's episode. Hell, the people in attendance at the Oscars this year were spread out more. I get that they haven't addressed COVID on the show so they didn't want to make it part of the storyline (unlike "The Conners"). I'm sure everyone on the set gets tested regularly and most probably fully vaccinated at this point. But it still makes me very nervous for them.

Wonderful finale. After a rocky start, this season rebounded beautifully. It's so unfortunate CBS did not give it 1-2 more seasons. I love these characters and the cast, and I'm really going to miss the show.
