Synopsis:

Nucky has reservations about investing in a Tampa land deal engineered by transplanted bootlegger Bill McCoy (Pearce Bunting). While there, he meets speakeasy owner Sally Wheet. Valentin Narcisse books a sexy jazz singer, Daughter Maitland (Margot Bingham), to perform at the Onyx, and gauges Dunn Purnsley's allegiance to Chalky. Willie, Eli's son, turns to Mickey Doyle and his bootleg warehouse to elevate his social standing at college. Gillian agrees to pose as Roy Phillips' wife to impress a possible partner. Harrow tries to bury his past, though not before taking care of some unfinished business with Emma (Katherine Waterston).

Written by Terence Winter; directed by Allen Coulter.

I guess with all the excitement of Breaking Bad and the awesome (teehee) Dexter finale - few have paid attention to this.

Patricia Arquette... time has caught up quickly to her in the last few years. Yikes.

Other than that, nothing else to say other than I have no idea where this season will lead and I'm not sure I see much potential... yet.

That's probably exactly what it means. I liked her, but she needs to just stay away. For her sake.

I'm not sure I know where this season is going, kind of all over the place. Last year had a pretty good arc.

I heard she appears in an episode or two... but nothing permanent.

I saw Kelly McDonald (Margaret) in those HBO Buzz promos with the red carpet premiere so I assume she will appear sometime this season.

Valentin Narcisse vs Chalky White is the only think I know is going to heat up.

Gillian is so fucked up. I loved the restaurant scene where she uses heroin in the bathroom. "It melted..."

Actually kind of curious where that story might go.

Glad it got renewed. That article mentioned if people could still watch the show if Nucky is gone.

Just watched this episode. Still not feeling Season 4 three episodes in. So many plates spinning right now and the only one I'm interested in is Narsesse / Chalky. I'm not giving up yet, but yikes it's not a promising start. Seriously, are we supposed to be emotionally invested in Gillian's romantic life now?
Thank God for Jeffery Wright. He's fascinating to watch and probably the reason to stick around this season.

I know it's not the Nineties anymore when David is now the best looking Arquette kid.

Oh yeah, and that picture above is stupid. I liked the one with Nucky, Chalky and Eli, with the caption at the bottom, but why on earth would those three women get together and pose for a picture in Atlantic City in 1924? It's just dumb advertising.
