Synopsis:

Episode 3 / Production #503 - "Chalupa vs. The Cutlet" (Airs September 18, 10:30 pm e/p) - Kevin and Jenny discover that Jay and Kristen Cutler's kid is attending the same preschool. The show is always sub-par when they have real NFL-ers mixed into the story. It's been a ho-hum start for me this season.

Also, it's not a good sign that Kroll may be dividing his time. Missed Ruxin last night.

Yep, his absence was obvious. The League appears to be going down Sunny's path. Start super strong for a couple of seasons and then slowly get unfunnier with each subsequent season. :(

But this season of Sunny has been excellent so far, so maybe Season 8 of The League will bounce back :lol:

Don't mean to derail the show thread but last night I all of a sudden didn't have FXX anymore. I called DirecTV and they said the channel was now part of an upgrade package. I only have the one where I get 220 channels or so. Anyone else have this problem? I had the channel for the last few weeks. I'm pretty pissed they did this.

I was kind of pissed to find Comcast added FXX in HD, but FXX in HD isn't part of my package.

Thankfully the SD FXX channel decided to air in HD for some reason last night.

You were getting a free trial of FXX for a few weeks during the launch. You don't have Choice Xtra. You probably just have the Choice package.

Ruxin was obviously missing but I thought this episode was great. The stuff with Cutler was hilarious.

That happens with pretty much every show.

These thoughts mirror my own quite well. FX must have audience tested using real NFLers, because their inclusion is almost never funny. They are not actors and that is painfully evident in each scene.

This was a mediocre episode of The League. It still had a couple of funny lines from Taco but everything with Kevin was forced. I find the domestic stuff with Kevin and his wife less and less funny each time they introduce it. The show has gone downhill since she became a much more prominent member of the cast.

I turned this off during the Cutler fantasy car ride sequence, it was making me cringe way too much. Did it get any better?

I don't think it was nearly as bad as people here thought it was, but it wasn't great. Reminded me of the pilot. Nothing great, but nothing terrible. Not nearly as good as last week's episode.

It had its moments, but I agree that they need to keep the celebs out of it. The Snoop Dog stuff was pretty weak. They also need to take a break from the rehashing of Andre and his holes/mancaves/etc.. It can be funny, but they have run it into the ground.

I thought it started out good, got bad, then got extremely bad when Snoop showed up, and ended okay. Overall, not a good episode.

Yeah, didn't care for Snoop. And I ddidn't see the point of rehashing the man cave thing again. I didn't mind Cutler though.
