This actually looks funny. For the record, I will not be doing threads for Dads. That looks awful. I know new comedies is really hit and miss in this forum. People here either like them right away or they don't.

Though I am not a fan of sitcoms, I believe the world is a better place when Andre Braugher is on TV every week so I will watch this.

I actually think this looks really entertaining. Has a 72% on Metacritic.

This and the Michael J Fox show are the only two new sitcoms that look funny to me--but they look really funny. Hopefully they are.

I'll give it a shot. Seems to slap-sticky from the previews though.

This is one of the few shows I'm looking forward to this season.

This show was cooler when it was on ABC and called The Unusuals.

Yeah, only this really looks to have absolutely zero in common with The Unusuals, more Parks and Rec at a Brooklyn PD.

Just realized the three new network shows I'm looking forward to are all Fox shows. This one, Sleepy Hollow(good so far), and Almost Human.

Not good. I managed to get through the entire episode (more than I could say for "Dads") but I won't be back for episode 2.

Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine -- Series Premiere -- "Pilot" -- 9/17/13

Not great but it has potential, you could definitely tell it was a pilot. Will keep watching to see how it turns out.

Other than Modern Family, I don't recall the last sitcom that had a great pilot (The Office, Parks and Rec, New Girl, Mindy Project, Community, 30 Rock, etc; all had pretty rough starts.) so it definitely gets benefit of a doubt.

Dads on the otherhand, holds no promise.

Was awesome. Samberg was hilarious. Set the DVR for a season pass.

I thought it was pretty good. Samberg was a bit over the top, but it had some funny moments. I'll tune in again next week.

I thought it was pretty funny. Wasn't perfect yet, but give us time to know the characters and them to tighten it up and it could be hilarious.

I was actually looking more forward to Dads than this as i thought this would be your below average sitcom. However it was actually reversed. Dads was flipping horrible and this has some funny moments with potential for more. I'm in for this one.

Dads was so bad this actually seemed good. I'll have to watch it next week by itself to make a real decision. To a starving man a cracker seems like as banquet.

Re: Brooklyn Nine-Nine -- Series Premiere -- "Pilot" -- 9/17/13

It was average... but it was also the pilot, so I'll stick with it for a couple of weeks.

I know Michael Schur and others are at work here, but I think my biggest issue with it so far was the I could see the foundations of Parks and Recreation, and to some extent The Office, just with new actors. I found myself saying, "oh they've set up this character to be like Tom, and this is clearly their April."

That was distracting me too much.

Definitely will continue watching this (unlike the Duds lead-in) - not the greatest, but will stick with it for a while.

Dads was so bad that not only am I shocked that it made it to air, I can't fathom how bad shows were that didn't make it to air. Dads is the type of show that made makes me feel guilty for the actors on the show. It's like seeing a friend that was once prosperous begging on the street. Poor Green, Ribisi, etc...

There were probably better shows that didn't get on the air, unfortunately Fox is fellating Seth MacFarlane at the moment.
