If the series ended in To'hajiilee, with Hank cuffing Walt, and the nazis didn't come, and there was no flashforwards, would this have been a satisfying conclusion?

It would be for Walt, Hank, Jessie, and Marie. Skyler, Walt Jr., and Saul are left out to dry. And even though they're tertiary, too much time has been spent on Lydia and Todd this season to leave their stories open-ended.

Sorry, can't buy this. Hank had no idea who these guys were when they pulled up. In the short amount of time he had before the fire fight started I don't think he could surmise that Walt would be important enough to them that he could use as a bargaining chip in the middle of a ridiculous fire fight. Hank wouldn't know that they are a group of people who desperately want Walt to cook for them ergo would bargain for his life. It would be a stretch for him to do that all in the middle of all this action especially risking Walt being shot. I am assuming that Hank's character would take more satisfaction seeing Walt prosecuted over simply being shot.

If I were Hank, my immediate assumption would be that those guys were there to kill Walt and/or dig up the money.

I'm wondering why both Hank & Gomez wouldnt show their badges when the Nazis repeatedly asked to see proof they were cops.

I agree, but even let's say Hank assumes they are there on Walt's side I just don't see some moment of clarity where he believes trying to drag Walt out of the car to use as a human shield/bargaining chip would work.

there is no way Holly was in the car. why? because Gomez went to clear the car when they first rolled up. You don't think if the kid was in there, he would've said/done something about it? they wouldn't leave her sitting in the car. just no way.

Gomez, probably 8-10 rounds in the shotgun. Reloading one under that stress would be pretty unlikely. Did he have a jacket on? If so, he could still have his pistol with additional mags on his hip as well.
Hank, if he uses the DEA standard issue Glock 22 or 23, 13-18 rounds. Possibility he has 2-3 extra mags on him.
Speaking realistically, the shotgun is their only real line of defense here. Pistols aren't for shooting at 25-30 yards out when your targets are firing back at you. Still a good way to keep them from closing in on you.
The other crew was made up of 6 guys with 2 pistols, 2 ARs, and 1 Saiga shotgun. I think the sixth gun was another long gun, but not sure what type. I'm only going off the screen caps that are posted in this thread. It'd be pretty tough for them to not hit Hank and Gomez with that type of firepower.

This may have been one of my favorite lines of the show. And the look on Flynn's face is priceless.
I think meeting Better Call Saul makes him happier than breakfast.

Does anybody listen to the official Breaking Bad insider podcast?
Apparently, when they're looking to cast a new character and don't want any spoilers getting released, the writers will come up with fake scenes for the actors to read in their auditions. And some of the actors said the fake scenes were so well written, they were almost upset that they didn't get to do them for real.

Ahhh I stand corrected. That would be an interesting way to go. Though again in the heat of the moment with that much fire power coming at them I don't see them being able to do this. I may be looking at it too literal though. Can't wait to see how it pans out.
