Really good episode. I saw the ending coming as soon as Dexter and Deb were just sitting around drinking coffee as that was Hannah's preferred method of taking someone out. I wonder how much of a part she'll play in the remainder of the season. The story with Dexter's neighbor Cassie seems like it has more to it than we're seeing right now. Either she is investigating Dexter or she'll wind up dead I think. Also sort of like the idea of Dexter taking on Zach and teaching him the code. I was sort of hesitant about it at first but seems like it could have some potential.

Seems like a very random season to be closing things up. Seems like they are going off in all different directions, starting new plots, and isn't leading anywhere in particular.

Interesting ending. Nice to see Hannah back again. I should have caught it once Deb starting feeling woozy after the drink. That was her signature.
at Harrison confronting Dexter about lying. At least we know know he's 4 years old, which makes sense in the timeline of this show and it's seasons.
at Vince trying to pay off his daughter. Okay, that was kind of a dumb plot element. So far, it seems more like plot filler than anything significant.
Funny seeing how awkward Dexter was on his date with Cassie. He just doesn't gel with normal people. Rita was damaged when he dated her and of course we all know how twisted Lyla was.
Pretty obvious that Deb's PI boss has the hots for her. That plot element with her going undercover felt more like filler though.
Yeah I wonder how long this "Internship" with Zach is going to last.

definitely ZERO urgency in a "this is the final season" sort of way. Are we really going to wait until the last episode or two for any of the other characters to suspect Dexter?

Yeah, I agree. I'm tired of Vogel, and the season just doesn't feel like Dexter. I'm glad Deb came around but I hope things pick up real soon.

You'd think Dexter would know that Shout can get blood stains out of just about anything.

More meh from this season.
As already mentioned... time is limited and they seem to be brining in more plots, which just means too many plots will wrap up way too quickly for anything to feel natural. And with the limited time we have left we have to endure the useless Mazuka daughter plot as well as wasting valuable time just to tell us that someone has a crush on Deb. And what's the point of Cassie exactly?
I always get a laugh at how quickly Dexter finds evidence - and it's rarely plausible. Hmmm... what's this suspicious camera doing on the desk? It shouldn't be there at all - even though the kid is a photographer. Let's analyse it for no reason and then accidentally notice something loose inside making a sound - bingo!... time to open it up.
Can't wait for the season/series to be over.

I don't think it's wasting valuable time on Elway, that's part of Deb's job, and the signs were obvious since like 2nd episode. At least that's the "wrap up" impression that I got, in that they're leading her to wind up with this guy, but only after some meandering, and realizing that both of them have problems and all of that typical crap. Even Dexter was questioning why Deb was hesitant towards him.
Cassie they probably don't know what to do with, just like Anderson and Louis before. Killing Anderson was the most idiotic move they made last season, he would have been interesting to have around. Instead we have this new bland person who just made sergeant. But even so, I assume she will make up with Masuka soon (regardless of her intentions), and Dexter will utter some corny voice over outlining similarities between himself/Zach and Vince/Cassie.

I'm having trouble paying attention during the episodes now. Either a bad season (imho) or I'm losing interest in Dexter or both.

I'm still digging this season and it seems like everyone else was just last week. I suppose not.
This episode I thought was a little slow until the end. While Dexter has had people work with him he never had a protege to pass on the code to. I didn't really like the idea when Vogel first mentioned it but the kill room scene gave me hope that it could work out.
My only problem is that they seem to be hitting the reset button with Deb and Dexter. Their issues still need to lead to something.
