Copper -- Sundays on BBC America

Due to the massive glut of Sunday programming, I haven't really been keeping up with Copper. I still intend to finish the season.

Is anyone here still watching or is this also on the backburner unwatched?

Anyways, some good news to pass along for those who care.

Renewed for a 2nd season. It will get 13 episodes. it will air Spring 2013.

This Sunday is the season finale.

I've been keeping up with it. It's a good show. You could make a drinking game for every time Corky pulls his gun on somebody.

Glad it got renewed.

I'm currently 3 episodes behind.

Guess 4 will be my limit!

Yeah it definitely got better. The story about Corky´s wife and daughter turned out to much better than I expected

I've greatly enjoyed it. It's not one of my 1st tier shows on Sundays, but it's still very high quality.

It was reported today that Donal Logue from Terriers has joined the cast as a series regular for season 2.

Hmm... I guess his role on Sons has already been filmed then? It looked like he was set up to be next season's big bad there.

Sons doesn't start shooting until March or April.

He could be doing both shows. They just have to work around his availability.

Edit: Story I read says they film Copper through July in Canada. If his character comes back to Sons, he could film afterwards.

Ripper Street has been very much in the mold of Copper, though set in the time of Jack The Ripper.

Re: Copper -- Sundays on BBC America

I could only make it 4 episodes before I gave up due to lack of interest.

It is kinda' like Deadwood, only without the interesting characters and amazing dialog. And without the characters and dialog, Deadwood would be a real slog to get through, like Copper is.

It got better, but not so much so that you were really missing out on something. I would probably rate it a mild disappointment, but that's probably b/c my expectations were high.

Re: Copper -- Sundays on BBC America

I watched the whole season because there were only a few episodes left when I gave up on it..but now I'll probably give it another chance because of Logue.

Re: Copper -- Sundays on BBC America

Going off their entire seasons, Copper turned out slightly better than Ripper Street. Neither are great shows, they both have their flaws.

I watched this via Netflix over the holiday weekend, and enjoyed it quite a bit.
