Dwight did something in an insensitive way? No, not bothered.

I always thought Meredith had a daughter not a son...Guess I was wrong...Anyone remember her having a daughter?
She's brought her son to work with her.

I hope Erin gets paternity/maternity tests for her "parents" in case they are just scam artists trying to cash in on her new found fame.
Yes, Erin certainly seemed to be quite successful post-documentary, working as a receptionist.

Couldn't Michael have just gotten and iPod Touch if he needed another device for photos? He wouldn't have had to pay for another phone number. Michael has too much gray in his hair. He needs to darken it up.
They flat out said that Michael did it because he was so happy to be able to have a family plan.

I really wish Michael was upstairs with everyone else for the last 15 minutes. Ala the end of the BBC Office. "the original crew".

Meridith's son as the stripper was pretty funny. As was Mos kidnapping Angela.

It was nice to see Dwight call Pam his best friend. Their friendship is more interesting to me than the Jim/Pam romance ever was.

I really loved that Ryan and Kelly ran off together. They're just so horrible that I get a kick out of it.

Michael's entrance with the "that's what she said" was perfect. The only thing I wish they would have managed to do was to have one last confrontation between Michael and Toby, even if it was Michael being nice to Toby for once since he was practically suicidal the whole episode.

Re: The Office -- Retrospective and "Finale" -- Series Finale -- 5/16/13

An outstanding end to the series, the writers really pulled it together for this one. I teared up more than once and there were some big laughs scattered about. I feel like everyone got a proper send off and the episode didn't linger too long on any one character.

Even Andy had some great moments, perhaps some of the best. His comment about how he wished you could tell when you're living the 'good old days' really got to me, as well as him discovering the crowd of people excited to see the 'Nard Dog.

Did anyone else notice Angela trying not to laugh when they got her out of the trunk?

I was more bothered how illogical it was because if the regional manager could just fire Toby at their whim why woudn't Michael have fired him in season 1.

Loved it! The finale, and the retrospective. Very touching and some emotional scenes.

Only thing missing was an appearance by Holly, Jan, and Roy. I guess Packer, as well, but I didn't care for his character, so didn't miss that.

Also, after all these years, I still have a big crush on Jenna Fischer. My daughter thinks she looks like my wife, so I guess that explains it.

Awful last couple of seasons but this finale was excellent. It needed about 5x as much Michael Scott to take it from excellent to awesome.

This guy has an intereating take on the show's legacy. I can't say I disagree with him, except that I did think the first season was actually pretty good.

Totally agree.

The Office gets a B.

All in the Family, Friends, Seinfeld, MASH, Cheers - those are the A's.

Re: The Office -- Retrospective and "Finale" -- Series Finale -- 5/16/13

Awesome night of The Office.

Loved the retrospective. Hope it's included on the BD for the final season.

It was nice to see Jenna Fischer say that she hopes the show lives on through DVDs or whatever people will be watching in the future. With the exception of the 1st season, I think the show during it's prime has tremendous replay value.

Dwight's wedding was nice and it was so good to see Michael again.

that was so fucking messed up that Ryan and Kelly ran off together with him abandoning his baby.

I loved how the baby smiled with Nellie.

Really liked how Dwight referred to Pam as his best friend. That was really sweet.

at Creed getting arrested.

Now that was going out on a high note.

I liked the cameo of Greg Daniels posing with the gang for the photo at the end.

Goodbye Dunder Mifflin.

Agree I love Jenna Fischer. She's not hot per se, but has such an alluring girl next door quality.

Yes, she most certainly does. (And I can't believe that I spelled her name wrong.)

What exactly was Jim's first prank? The fact that he faked being sick so that everyone can make it on that particular day?

And small moment but I liked David Wallace talking to Oscar about wanting to support his campaign.

Always had a thing for the girl next door vs. the sex bomb like Pam Anderson. I'd take the GND anytime. Maybe it's that they seem attainable? And Jenna Fischer was the ultimate GND on TV.

I really didn't care for this past season. They milked at least one too many out of it, but they did a nice finale and retrospective.

It's the driving into the lake of phone ownership!

Re: The Office -- Retrospective and "Finale" -- Series Finale -- 5/16/13

I loved this finale. I'm sad to see it go, especially after these last two episodes. Damn if I didn't cry when Michael popped in...although as Jim started talking, I kind of thought that it would happen, it was still so fucking perfect. Just hearing that he'd had kids and was still happy felt good. I think you could tell a lot of the tears on the show were genuine...a lot of people who spent so much time together, doing it all for the last time.

I do wish that Holly and Jan had shown up, and I was very surprised that they didn't talk about Idris Elba during the retrospective. I also wish they had revealed Toby or Gabe as the Scranton Strangler.

I don't think the baby was biologically his. He seemed to say the girl he was dating had the kid when he met her and then she just walked out.

Which made it "easier" to leave the kid I guess.

Yeah I was initially really annoyed by that, like a lot, and thought the whole finale might kind of suck. I guess that is something Dwight would do, but nothing happened with either character through all the seasons, and now we're just supposed to be OK w/Kevin getting fired by a cake in a front of the whole group and stuck tending bar? Yeah, that annoyed me. Toby seemed like wreck too, always did some, but that whole aspect left a bad taste in my mouth. The rest of it I enjoyed a lot.

On a slightly positive note, Kevin did say he bought the bar, and it seemed to be doing fairly good business. So being a moderately successful business owner might be a step up from being a terrible accountant for a paper company.

Toby, on the other hand...

He said the kid was his, and didn't he mention helping name it? It seems like he would have said "step son" if that was the case.
