As with most I did think they would change the out come. But in the end I was very happy with it. I was happy with the whole show from start to end. To many good things to say but I will say this. I don't watch Live TV. I wait for the show(s) to end and buy the DVD or Blu (This one I started buying in DVD, it was only $15 for season 1 & 2). I did look forward to Fridays nights.

There is one thing. The ending is what people wanted for QSF to be.

Caught up with this show by watching the final 4 episodes this afternoon. I thought this season stumbled a bit early on, but it sure reconciled that during the final stretch. The last 3 episodes were excellent and the finale was indeed epic. Well done all around.

Sweet Jesus, that girl that played Gannicus' young love is insanely hot.

Not the best season of the 4 but glad it ended on a high note. I thought Gannicus was dead meat for sure but Caesar kept him alive. I don't know the history but would have like Crassus killed by Spartacus.

I guess I don't need to spoilerize this, but Crassus got his in the end. Some twenty years after defeating Spartacus, the Parthians executed him by pouring molten gold down his throat to quench his thirst for gold.

Of course, the gold thing is probably only a legend, but I'll bet they would have used it for the series.

it usually takes days to die on the cross so Gannicus COULD have somehow escaped, or was rescued? right? RIGHT?!

Yes! Liam even mentioned it on Twitter that it caught him off guard.

Gannicus is so bad ass that an armada of "questionable women" ran to his aid and lifted him off the cross. He was then fully healed and on a solo Roman-Ninja mission single handedly killed Caesar, Pompeii and Crassus. True story.

I put my name in to request a Ceasar sequel.. it would seem seeing him go from this soldier to the Emperor of Rome over 3-4 seasons would be a hell of a ride....

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned -- Series Finale -- "Victory" -- 4/12/13

Very satisfying ending for many reasons.

- Spartacus' faith unknown to Romans and therefore the rest of the world...
- Crixus' bitch getting slaughtered after being a tool all season
- Gannicus dying after all to get back with history
- Agron and Nasir manage to escape, along with Laeta and sibyl, so at least some slaves escape
- Very nice end credits with all important characters

I'd love a Caesar/Crassus spinoff, but leave all slave characters out of it please.

If you rewatch the scene, you'll notice that there are lots of slaves escaping to freedom in the background. Hundreds, if not thousands. Agron, Nasir, and the others are just at the end of the line.

This was a sad ending, although not unexpected. The series was never the same to me after Andy, though no fault of Liam.

Sure, I meant slaves "known to us" that escape. We're all happy about Agron and Nasir, but had they died and unnamed slaves escaped it would have sucked

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned -- Series Finale -- "Victory" -- 4/12/13

Where did the slaves go at the end? Did Agron & Nasir have a fleet of ships waiting for them to take them across the Mediterranean somewhere? Didn't Rome control most of the Mediterranean by this point anyway, and could have re-captured them? I can't see the slaves walking through half of Italy and crossing the Alps(!) to get to Germania.

I enjoyed the finale but I'm glad the show is over. It lasted just long enough not to wear out its welcome.

When the big guy said "F your mothers" that was hot. One of the best ending to a series to date.

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned -- Series Finale -- "Victory" -- 4/12/13

Awesome.

Had to cancel Starz two weeks ago, so only just now watched the finale. Definitely not the best series finale ever, but damn it might have been the most satisfying. I got everything I wanted out of the finale, including a final shot of Andy. I loved the fight with Crassus, Gannicus unfortunate end, raining once more, Agron and Nasir surviving, the forming of the triumvirate, etc.. I liked the call outs with all the cast members during the credits too.

I've gotta say, the relationship between Agron and Nassir might be my favorite gay relationship in a show ever. Extremely well done. I even got a little emotional on the previous episodes when Nasir thought Agron was dead. Not what I expected from a show like this at all.

Definitely sign me up for a Caesar-Crassus spin off. That would be epic.

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned -- Series Finale -- "Victory" -- 4/12/13

I seized cock to purpose today and marathoned the last five episodes. Seeing such beloved characters die weighed heavy on heart but the survival of mighty Agron and loyal Nasir proved soothing balm.

I need more of this universe. Rome is rich with possibility for series of this nature if they chose not to continue with the triumvirate.

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned -- Series Finale -- "Victory" -- 4/12/13

It was an honor to break words one final time, my brothers, on subject of rebel Spartacus.
Hail Spartacus bringer of rain, Crixus the undefeated Gaul and Gannicus, may his cock rage on!
