A final act of heroism by one of their own saves the lives of the Charlie and the gang, but the loss devastates everyone and they must carry on with heavy hearts but increased resolve. Miles sets out on a mission with Nora to recruit his former Militia comrade, Jim Hudson and enlist his savage killing skills. Meanwhile, Rachel looks for a power source and a way back into the heart of her daughter Charlie. Rachel also attempts to elude the grip of Randall Flynn, her ruthless former boss and ally of Monroe. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
So the guy that gives the go ahead to initiate the blackout did so because his son died in Afghanistan...wouldn't a worldwide blackout HELP that backasswards country?

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Governor Affleck -rolleyes-
Why fear the militia? Three people took out a platoon. The stormtroopers on Endor were more effective. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Officially deleted this from my DVR.

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
They're "flash drives?"

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
UHF shout out "Conan the Librarian".

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Not sure what to think about this show anymore. My Mondays are awesome, I have a double header of The Following and then Revolution.
Yeah. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
I think it's about time to end my watching of this and the Following.

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
I didn't think it was bad. I thought it was an entertaining episode. The show never bores me. Listen it's an over the top, sometimes ridiculous post apocalyptic show. It's totally not grounded enough in reality to keep nit picking every week. I just go with it.
 Liked the addition of Malik Yoba as Hudson. at how Hudson, Miles and Nora took out that entire Militia platoon with swords even though they were all armed with rifles. Aaron: "It's a freaking flash drive!!" at Rachel bitch slapping Charlie. That was great, yet cliched as hell. I do have one complaint. Why the hell didn't Charlie take out Randall? She had the shot. Instead she just takes some wild shots and runs off. Man, Nestor Serrano is a busy guy. He was on Castle a few episodes ago as a bad guy, The Following earlier this season as the warden and now this. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Even the director must have known how silly 3 on a platoon would look on screen, since most of it apparently happened off screen.

The scene showed he was holding his son's dog tags before he initiated the blackout and they asked are you sure? But, I think the scene kind of missed some explanation on how Randall convinced them to initiate the blackout. I know alot of you have complained about Charlie. But, I think Tracy Spiradakos does play cold and detached well...it's probably one of the strongest points of her acting ability. |

Obviously he wanted to get some kind of revenge on the government for his son's death.

She wasn't hip firing, and she wasn't bracing it against her shoulder. She just held it in the air in front of her. Looked so awkward. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Yeah, this show is a bit cheesy, but interesting enough for me to stick around until the end of the season. What was kind of annoying that I couldn't stop noticing is that in everyone scene with Miles and Nora, they would at some point focus on Nora and not give her any lines. She would then look up at Miles with her concerned look.

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
come on, the rebels have an "echo base" and it doesn't have some kind of dome that is vaguely like an ion cannon? ;)
|
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
If they ever go to California, I hope they get Ben Affleck to play himself.
Or maybe they meant Governor Casey Affleck. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Or a duck
|
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
so the rebels finally got some 'power'...and juliet.....juliet who helped monroe get his choppers flying, goes ahead and melts them
shouldve been katnisswannabe slapping her |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Her decision was the right one unless she knew of some way to quickly keep the devices from being tracked. Otherwise, she was just going to hand over more devices to Monroe.

I'm thinking there is more to it... my guess is that the blackout was supposed to be localized (just knock out the power in that region) but they screwed up somewhere and it took out everything.

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
Better plotting, people acting like people, and fucking insane shit like Governor Affleck and "they're flash drives???"
Okay, I'm with this show again. |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
So, Casey Affleck is governor, huh? ;)

Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
What I find particularly interesting is how they're able to travel long distances in virtually no time at all. For example, last week they went from Philly to Annapolis (by horse and wagon) quite rapidly.
But I agree, the show seemed to improve a bit this week, I thought the set design was a bit better, especially the parts by Echo Base, the crashed jet, burned out cars, etc. Generally the vehicles and buildings in the show have been looking in perfect condition. I still think it's the dumbest show on TV.:D |
Re: Revolution - "Ghosts" - 4/1/13
There are way too many of us idiots still watching this.
I'm losing respect for myself just as quickly as I am for some of you. |
