I gave up after four episodes. What I saw was a mess, though it did flash some potential in spots. Still not enough to keep me watching.

I am almost done with watching the show and most of time it's a bore. It's inconsistent and pacing is terrible.

Only made it two or three episodes in the first season, and am surprised that it is coming back, since I didn't think the ratings were great either. It seems to be the least talked about Netflix series.

Apparently there are some younger folk that watch it. It's like that R rated show you weren't supposed to watch as a kid. It's terrible but whatever.

When you rent an R-rated movie from Redbox, a prompt comes up asking you if your are 17. You simply click yes. Where was this when I was younger ?

I caught this last year and thought it was very underwhelming. Famke Jannsen had a horrible accent. Later on, I was surprised to read that this cost around 45 million to make. Anyway, the acting for the most part wasn't very good.

I made it through the first few episodes. While the premise seemed promising, it just never grabbed me. I had been debating going back and finishing it up ... Seems like no love here though.

Yeah $45m is a little high for what they got out of it, I'm curious how much went into Famke and Roth's pockets. That's roughly $3.5m per episode.

I thought the first season started off promising, but fell off a cliff 1/2 way through. Not sure, but I somehow managed to make it through the season despite that. I'll check out the season 2 premiere for curiosity - up for debate if I'll stick around.

Seriously? They're going through with this?

I guess I'll watch just because I'm addicted to binge viewing series now. I hope they heard the complaints of viewers and fixed shit...

Season 1 was horrible and I honestly don't remember anything happening other than being extremely let down by the end, but season 2 is up now on netflix.

So no one is going to binge watch this over the next day or 2???

Guess this is the only Netflix show that nobody likes in this forum.

I don't understand how it got a season 2. This is a show that is pretty much universally unliked. I don't think I've seen anyone anywhere that actually liked season 1.

I think Netflix was too shy to admit defeat this early on with a cancellation so they gave it a Season 2 to save face.

Re: Hemlock Grove (Netflix) -- Season 2 -- July 11th

I dropped it about six episodes into the first season and I almost never drop something in mid-season like that. I don't think the showrunner/writers knew what they wanted from Hemlock Grove.

I'll get to this eventually. Still need to get through S2 of OITNB.

Re: Hemlock Grove (Netflix) -- Season 2 -- July 11th

Watched a couple episodes so far, pretty meh. I'll keep watching, its only 10 episodes this season. I will say that the CG in the first couple of episodes (especially a couple scenes in the second episode) is some of the worst CG I've seen in the last few years. It seems like they spent all their money on the werewolf transformation sequence, and even that didn't look as good as from the first season.
