...which leads to an interesting question. Does the bite actually even turn the person at all? Or is it just the death (which usually is the end result of a bite)?

But could the infection itself be cured? With antibiotics or what not? Has anyone actually attempted this?
I'm totally playing devil's advocate here.

Isnt that what Jenner was trying to do? It seems like the only thing to do is removed the infected area before it has any chance to spread

Andrea's walk to the prison took a day or so ... she started out in daylight, the factory scene started at dusk and ended in the dark, and she arrived in the afternoon (judging by the sunlight) of the next day.
Tyrese didn't admit to the burning of the zombies -- he thought the Governor was talking about his fight with his travelling companion. Speaking of Tyrese and his travelling companion, that conflict felt extremely forced since we haven't been allowed to spend any significant time with them up to now. Possibly some scenes that had been deleted along the way?
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks the Gov may have been bitten!
As for the end game of the series ...

I think they've gone with the idea that it's the filth-riddled mouths of the zombies that actually cause infections, acting as a bunch of mini feces-coved punji sticks.

the only other person we saw who got bit and not devoured was that guy Jim from season one (the grave-digger who they had to tie to a tree). We never saw him turn or die. They just left him off the side of the road.

You can hijack a Carnival Cruiser, after stocking all the canned goods you can (maybe a cow or two for dairy), and live on the ocean.
The only problem wouldn't be zombies, of course, but bad human pirates.
And just who the hell is flying that helicopter?!?!
Hey, do you think that guy Randall (the guy they kept locked up in the shed at the farm) and his croonies were from the Governor's camp?

I assumed last year that Randall = Woodbury...was kinda disappointed that they never addressed that this year.

Wouldn't the sharks end up infected? Come to think of it, have we seen any zombified animals in this show? Is the virus exclusive to humans?
Wasn't that addressed this season? It was the soldiers the Governor killed for their weapons.

Come to think of it, if Hershel had livestock, why was it necessary for Otis to hunt for food?
Humanity would be double-fucked if animals turned, too. They'd have to watch for birds, squirrels, rats...
lions and tigers and such, in America at least, are in zoos, behind bars where they belong. People in Africa, if such was the case, oh man! Put a bullet in your head now.

Seems to be. Hershel had cows, Rick rode a horse. I think I saw a dead dog somewhere's.

You would need feed for the cow. I imagine it wouldn't be easy to grow enough grass to keep one fed on a ship. Plus, captaining a cruise ship is going to be more complicated than a speed boat or pontoon.

Also the carnival ship will probably break down after you leave port.
