Justin is a natural. The skits were hysterical, but man those musical performances blew it out of the park. What a super talented performer, with great acting and comedic chops. And really seems like an all around great guy.

Makes me know how much I miss the digital shorts.

Respect.

Re: SNL -- 03/09/13 -- H: Justin Timberlake -- MG: Justin Timberlake

The opening Chavez/Elton bit was better than this entire season put together. And it only got better from there.

Timberland rehashes characters, but they're FUNNY characters. The guy definitely is a natural talent. The choreography on his first musical number was top-notch, especially when you consider how small that stage is.

I really dont think there were any stinkers. Caligula moved a little slow (but was still funny), Nuvabling didnt have JT but was still good (the face made on insertion had me cracking up). Even the absurdity of Maine Justice was great, and timberlake/sudekis sold it. but man what an odd-ball idea.

It is one of the featured skits on "Best of SNL: Tom Hanks" which I still have with my old VHS tapes. Justin is a worthy addition to the club.

Thanks for that Tom Hanks sketch, hadn't seen it before. With that, it made me watch this whole episode, good stuff, though as usual Weekend Update runs too long with the guest.

This proves that the hosts bring their own writing talent (or just write themselves).

Do other people find this guy funny? I can't believe he beat out Damon Wayans jr at audition, he's like laugh kryptonite for me.

23 years later and Hanks has more hair now. I wonder how that's possible?

This is fantastic. Commitment to the material just makes it so much better, and with the talent on hand tonight, WOWZA!

SNL is like soccer, you watch many boring games, get a good and exciting game once in a while and just rarely you get one amazing game that everyone will be talking about. Yeah, SNL is soccer. :-)

So is there any truth to the rumor that Vanilla Ice is Justin Biebers dad? This shit can't be coincidence!!

Re: SNL -- 03/09/13 -- H: Justin Timberlake -- MG: Justin Timberlake

This was definitely the best episode in a long time. Some good new stuff and of course Timberlake's rehashed characters were excellent. Some of the new stuff though was a fail for me - I didn't find Maine Justice or Caligula funny at all. I thought both were indicative of the weak writing that's been plaguing this show for too long now.

Stefan was great. Human fanny pack

Best episode in a while. The only stinker was Caligula.

Dollars to donuts Chevy Chase has NO idea who Justin Timberlake is.

For some reason my DVR didn't record. Must've been the time change or something. The links I've gone to don't have the cold open. Can someone either post it or provide a link that includes it? Thanks!

Timberlake's going to be on Fallon on Monday, so perhaps they'll reprise the Barry Gibb Talkshow in some fashion.

I thought he was gonna be on all week? I'm hoping for another version of the history of hip hop.

I really enjoy Vanessa Bayer. She is hysterical is all her skits. I loved her and Cecily Strong in that champagne skit. Had me rolling.

That champagne skit was hilarious. The girls played their parts very well - especially Cecily Strong.

I use to be the biggest defendant of this show so to speak but this entire season has been awful including this episode.

Prob gonna take some heat for this but I think a lot of people are in denial about this episode as well. It was slightly a step up from every other.

It honestly feels like a key writer was fired or quit or something.....show is just so lame and the sketches just go on forever.

Agree - Bayer's huge mouth annoyed me at first, but I've come around on her. She was also great in the dating game sketch and nuvabling.

I hadn't seen it the first time, but the fact that they did it twice only makes it worse.

I think the problem is actually that the head writer has not been fired.
