Raising Hope 2/26/13

Synopsis? It's a My Name is Earl reunion.

The list returned, TV's Tim Stack, and there was bouncing.

Re: Raising Hope 2/26/13

Wow, they got everybody! They even threw in a minor reference to Almost Famous.

"We could be the Winger of kids music!"

"Brother, at this rate you're never gonna finish crossing things off your list"

"That's OK, I slept with your wife Donna"
"Me Too"
"Me Too"
"Dammit!"

The second episode wasn't half bad either.

a 'My Name is Earl' reunion and an 'Almost Famous' homage. Great episode, though some of the jokes did seem forced.

Second episode was good too.

Can someone make a GIF of Catalina bouncing on the trampoline?

Caught this on Hulu...

Hot dang!

They didn't just get the main leads, they got nearly everyone (as mentioned earlier) plus the theme music.

Donna's "Oh snap." The mention of Mr. Turtle and the even the "Hey Pizza man. Hey Smokey" line.

This really felt like a perfect combination of both shows and just makes me miss Earl that much more.

I'm not a big Earl fan but the reunion made for a great episode.

Honestly I never cared for Jaime Pressly in any of her movie roles, but she did play that Joy role to perfection.

Just have to agree how awesome the reunion was. I loved it from start to finish. I had no idea what the episode was about and as more and more Earl people started coming on it just got better and better. Great to see them all back together.

This show just keeps getting better. It's a must see for me. Cool Earl reunion. Was that Hillary Duff as the college girlfriend?

I watch Raising Hope on and off. Will have to watch it for the Earl reunion. Didn't even know they have the same creators or are set in the same universe (or whatever).

They referenced the connection in the pilot episode, where there was a TV news report pertaining to the cliffhanger ending of Earl, but the TV was turned off before the ending could be revealed. Plus, everybody except for Catalina had been in a previous episode

Greg Garcia was also the creator of the CBS comedy Yes, Dear, and he had a mini reunion of that show in the episode involving the sex tape. In fact, it was implied that they were the same characters from that show, so I guess all three shows could be in the same universe.

Yeah!!! Earl reunion!

I had a smile on my face all night long. It truly was great to have everyone back together again. I didn't want the episode to end.

I was hoping the band would stay together without Virginia and Burt so that we could see everyone together from time to time

I think crab man may be the only crossover from Camden County - but everyone else is supposed to be a completely different character in Natesville.

I also loved how it was Smokey Floyd/Earl that did the voice over at the end.

Loved the Earl reunion, but I actually even enjoyed the Hilary Duff episode more. Very funny, well written.

I still love this show. There is something in every episode that just cracks me up. Loved Little Jimmy (or Trace!) singing Ain't No Sunshine.

Yeah thought this was awesome too. Raising Hope to me is like a big f-u to the cancellation of Earl. Same brilliance but different characters. The chemistry is just superb between the actors.

Re: Raising Hope 2/26/13

Just got around to watching the first episode and it was really a lot of fun. Loved all the references to My Name Is Earl even if the lines are sort of blurred now. I actually paused it at the end to get a look at the list and some of the ones I can make out are definitely from Earl's list or references to the show:

29. Harassed a reporter (Episode "Harassed a Reporter")
31. Pulled whiskers from Randy's Teddy bear (Reference to Randy)
32. Stole P's HD Cart (Episode "Stole P's HD Cart")
35. Taught Ralph how to steal... (Reference to Ralph)
37. Stole a laptop computer... (Episode "The Professor")

My favorite part was the group talking in the kitchen. Such a great scene.
