Person of Interest - "Relevance" -- 02/21/2013

Reese and Finch encounter a formidable foe when an attractive government operative goes on the run.
Edit: Woops. Put the wrong date in the title. My bad.

Reminiscent of Letters of Transit. Incredible ep, best show on tv, really felt like a movie from the opening on. I don't know how you fit more shootouts in 44 minutes.

It felt like they're trying to spin-off her character.

Tonight's episode was the other side of the list. Her team worked the numbers spit out that arent irrelevant like the numbers Finch and Reese deal with. She was going after terrorist type people.

The gist of Shahi's character is that she will be a recurring player in the show. Supposedly her contract allows her to come back in season. 3.

Re: Person of Interest - "Relevance" -- 02/21/2013

I was wondering for a while what the "Blue" cursors meant at the start of the episode as we hadn't seen that color before (I think so far we've seen, Yellow, Red, Green and White).

I also got the gist that they could spin-off Shahi's character. Anyways, always nice to see Bear get a few licks in for good measure.

Fuck this show is awesome. Sarah Shahi was perfect in this role. I almost hope they do a spinoff show with her.

I agree with everybody else that this was a great episode. This show seems to be getting better and better - I hope Shahi's character returns soon. I like how they showed a little of what else happens with the numbers.

Really enjoyed this episode. Really cool to see how things operate on the other side.

One question, though - didn't she say earlier in the episode that the drug would kill her within 4 minutes?

Doesn't seem like cops could respond, Carter/Fusco could show up (even if they were "in the neighborhood"), then take her away in a body bag, all in 4 minutes?

Yeah, I sort of noticed that, too. The only thing I could think is they somehow tracked her and were nearby. But that still doesn't really explain why they had an ambulance on standby.

Re: Person of Interest - "Relevance" -- 02/21/2013

I have been a bit disappointed with season 2 so far, I was a bit tired of the same plot story every week.

But this week, everything was perfect. Love everything about it. Had me clapping at the end.

Thou, I dont want spin off, I want her on this show on a regular basis.

Good episode, though clearly made to give the principal actors a break from the shooting schedule. She was a pretty interesting character, though I didn't quite buy all of the developments in the last act.

I watch the show, but my memory is always horrible. Can someone explain who the secretary is that works with the government guy. Was she the one that had kidnapped Harold? If so I forget also what her story was.

Yeah - Root. When Reese was looking for him he found she ran away from home somewhere in Maryland after her friend was kidnapped and she wants to free the machine so maybe it'll go Skynet on us.

BTW, is this the first episode that Jonathan Nolan has directed? Because he did a great job.

Thanks. I thought as much but wasn't sure.

I hope he directs a few more episodes.

Great episode!

Yes, he wrote and directed it. Makes me think this may be a spin-off for the fall. Reese goes after helping the regular guy for the machine, she goes after the terrorist groups.

BTW, anyone else catch the number on the slip of paper Harold gave her at the end of the episode? It's was clear enough for my Tivo to catch. Give it a call:
