Um, Andy returned last episode. So are they taking a hiatus? 7 more episodes would leave this ending on April 4th.

Looks like only 2 new episodes will air between February 21st and April 18th Series Finale (2 episodes) will air May 16th (counting those 2 episodes, it's 5 in a row) |

So has that squashed all our speculation about the Scranton Strangler being someone in the office (or in the documentary crew)?

I liked how Oscar was reading about the upcoming Office documentary. |

Made me miss Michael Scott.

I sure hope so. Was kind of funny how they played it. I liked how Oscar was reading about the upcoming Office documentary. |
Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I like they are finally addressing the documentary in a larger way as the show winds down, even if it is silly that they've been filming it continually for ten years and they're just now officially releasing some of it.

Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I kind of liked the Bob Odenkirk version of Michael Scott. If the show had just transfered Pam to that office a few years ago, I'd probably still be digging it.
The rest of the episode was kind of... weird. Dwight's aunt? I liked her in [REC]. And the whole Andy/Erin/Pete thing can't possibly get any more annoying. |
Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I actually really liked this episode. For the first time this season, I got a sense they were trying to close storylines up, too.

I actually thought the episode was more fun than previous ones. I really liked that boom guy didn't show up. That is just a horrendous storyline. In fact the only part I didn't like was the Jim and Pam ending. I really enjoyed them until they decided they wanted to introduce this drama into the relationship. Just kill it already.

Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I enjoyed the Philadelphia stuff, particularly with "real estate Michael Scott". Odenkirk's nearly dead-on Michael Scott mannerisms really showed what the show has been lacking since Steve Carell left.
As far as back in Scranton, it was painful to watch. I'm sorry, but most of the characters were just plain unlikable tonight. I was kind of hoping that Pam would take the job with the real estate company and that the doc crew would leave Scranton and just follow her over there. This stuff with Andy/Pete/Erin isn't even funny, it's just people being juvenile and dickish to each other. |

So The Office is a drama now?

"Is it me, or have these tables turned?" I have to agree. Andy did what everyone wishes they could do in a situation like that  |
Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
Anyone else notice the full-on Michael Scott impersonation Andy was doing the entire episode? I mean, his character similarities to Michael have always been there, but it really felt like he was actually reading from a early-series script the entire time. When Pam admitted that Bob Odenkirk's character was "exactly like Michael Scott", I was left thinking "well, so is the guy you're working for now".

Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
Yes it was the most like Michael Scott that Andy has ever been, but Michael was rarely so vindictively mean - well always to Toby and a couple other occasions, but usually there's an ignorance to Michael's being cruel (again except with Toby).
They are making Andy nonredeemable and well there a few elements to it that work, it's mostly not pleasant and the only logical step is for him to lose his job and go away. It will be ridiculous if he ends up with Erin at this point. |
Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I like when Pam told Jim that she remembered he could be funny. Then I remembered when he used to be funny :(

Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
Yeah. A crew spends 10 years gathering footage (and is still doing so) and it's going to be in the can in 3 months. Why even bother?

Re: The Office -- 1 Hour Episode -- "Moving On" -- 2/14/13
I know Andy has always been a socially awkward idiot since he first appeared, but him being a pussy whipped bitch in this episode was absolutely awful. I had to force myself five or six times to keep on watching.
You know it's an awful episode when Gabe, fuckin' GABE, has the best lines of the episode. I also hate how the writers can't get past their Michael Scott fetish. I know it fit with Pam and not wanting to be stuck with the same job she's had forever, but gah, it's like the writers only have 'every boss can only be a Michael Scott ripoff' mindset now. |
