Judith Light's opening scene was painful to watch. And not in a good way.

Disappointed with Frank's demise.

How many episodes left before Hagman is gone? Cos this episode felt like it featured him the least than any episode before.

Kinda funny, when Cliff met with John Ross, they were sitting about 2 rows up from where I saw Iron Maiden earlier in the summer. I am pretty sure I am going to drop out of the show once JR is gone unless they get something else good going real quick ....

at J.R.'s quote about him being more likely to win a humanitarian award than getting Bobby to go against his beliefs.

That opening scene with Judith Light had to be one of the worst acted scenes in the history of nighttime soap operas. It was hilarious how bad it was.

Other than that, it was an entertaining episode. A little light on JR though.

Sucks that Frank had to take the fall for the Barnes family.

and of course Ryland was going to change the story and pin the shooting on Bobby.

Oh man, that's was awful. Worse than Tig's Sons of Anarchy daughter-death scene.

Yeah, I really enjoy their scenes together. And J.R.'s scene with John Ross where he says family comes first. That's what made J.R. the best villian ever - ruthless and a snake, but he always had a soft spot for family. If they keep John Ross the way he is and don't humanize him some, the show won't be worth watching.

Judith Light was born in 1949. Mitch Pileggi was born in 1952.

The fact that she is playing his mother is just downright ridiculous.

In my head I'm playing it as he can maybe pass for 50...and she got knocked up at 14/15... She could be 65

Thank you! That has been bothering the shit out of me ever since they introduced her as his mother.

Am I the only one enjoying this season? I've found it to be much more enjoyable then season 1.

This isn't saying a whole lot, but I thought this episode was the best one since the new series began last season. Ratings also clicked up a little this week as well.

Good to hear. I'm hoping they are taking the change of night and the change of season into account with these ratings. It really didn't feel like they had fully advertised either of them.

Re: Dallas -- "False Confessions" -- 2/11/13

with Frank gone (one of the new characters I actually liked) and JR going to be gone due to Hagman's death they really need Cliff on more, and maybe Ray or any of the other old cast
I know the show is focused on the new generation but I don't really like any of them.
christopher is a whiny bitch
elena seems slightly gold diggerish
john ross is slimey and backstabs everyone. I'm waiting for him to literally stab himself in the back with a knife. Sure JR was slimey in the original but he at least had some charm or charisma or something that made you like him even though he was slimey. john ross has none of that

Am I the only one that got the feeling she isn't really his "mother" from their scenes together in this episode? It would help explain the casting.
