Geddy was probably returning the favor to Jason Segal, who appeared in a video Rush played on their "Time Machine" tour a few years ago.

Plus Rush was in his "I Love You, Man" movie. I think it was a cross-promotion kinda thing with the tour.

While it's true that generally speaking Canadians love their Tim Hortons, it has nothing to do with the donuts. I rarely see anyone ordering donuts. It's all about the coffee - which really isn't all that great anyway.

Was wondering if there was something really great about their donuts or coffee, or if it was just a Canadian pride thing. When I go to Vancouver at the end of the month, I'm totally going to order "The Priestly".

I think Hortons was the first major donut/coffee shop in Canada and the fact that it's everywhere makes it popular.

Putting this into perspective - the US has a population of 315m and has 6,700 Dunkin' Donut locations, yet Canada only has a population of around 33m but has 3,355 Hortons locations.

no
their coffee and donuts aren't bad, but their donuts aren't any better than the ones the local grocery store chains here have
and they don't have insulted cups or those little cardboard sleeves so you burn the shit out of your hand trying to hold the cup

Naw, I think it's close to a buck for just 1 donut.

I haven't been keeping up with this show but decided to tune in because of the Robin Sparkles episode. As a Canadian, I thought it was great but I wonder how people in Middle America thought when they started hearing those Canadian cities like Wawa, Sudbury and Hamilton and the Canadian centric jokes.

BTW, I have to agree that the best part of the episode was the Coulier and Saget bit.

I don't think Middle America really tunes into the show, it pulls like 10m viewers a week, that's a pretty limited market
