I saw this on another site and had forgotten how hard it made me laugh:

“Maybe I shouldn’t bring my ideas to NBC. I’ll go to cable where you can swear, and really take time to let moments land.” - and they cut to another scene almost before the d of "land" was pronounced.

I think some perspective is needed. Most shows aren't going to have a finale that delivers to meet expectations.

It's not how 30 Rock is built. Additionally, they really were just wrapping up loose ends etc. That said, it had its moments.

They should have left out that Conan green screen scene once they saw how horribly fake it looked.

That was so bad that I though for sure that they were building up to a green screen joke.

Re: 30 Rock -- 1 Hour Series Finale -- "Hogcock!/Last Lunch" -- 1/31/13

I thought it was a great and fitting finale. I really liked the anti-product placement of Blimpie's, and boy, did they pick the right place. Does anyone eat there by choice, or is it always a last resort? I also liked Jenna looking into the camera and saying she'd never met Mickey Rourke. The realization that Liz and Jack had ruined one another was funny, as well.

And I guess we can add 30 Rock to the list of shows that have featured the Det. Munch character?

I didn't even think Blimpies existed anymore. Their subs were not good and it's the perfect place for Lutz to want to eat at.

I was thinking about that last night as I watched it. He already had the record. Now he's just showing off.

So what are the best episodes?

The "Leap Day" and Batman spoofs were recent, and really good.

I don't think that 30 Rock ever went downhill, the way The Office has.

I guess that Parks and Recreation is still working. It is fizzling out just a little bit this season. Nothing this season blew me away yet.

Only if it takes place in the future with flying cars.

I prefer to think of the 100th episode as the perfect series finale, and forget the last two seasons. That said, I'm glad they inserted Jack's return to form at the last minute.

I remember in earlier episodes about Kenneth never aging and thought it was funny he never changed in the future. Also, the only loose end that bothered me is wtf happened to Danny's (Cayenne Jackson) character. A whole season was built around having to hire a new castmember and then he just disappears. Yes, I know in real life he went on to Glee but he was just on the live show as recent as last year.

"Thank you, America. That’s our show. Not a lot of people watched it, but the joke’s on you, because we got paid anyway."

Sucks it has to end. It might not be LOL funny as the earlier seasons but still it had its moments and except for Parks & Recreation was better than any other Thurs night show.

Just wished NBC gave it a full season and the finale was in May along with a special retrospective show with all the cast members discussing their favorite moments and time on the show.

Maybe some people might be happy Jack and Liz never became a couple in the end.

Overall, I was pleased with and enjoyed it. I thought they sent out the show in typical 30 Rock fashion. Kudos to all who created and executed one of the funniest comedy shows ever.

Watched the last 4 episodes including the finale today on Hulu.

I enjoyed it. It was a weird, but fitting end to this show. I didn't get into 30 Rock until season 3, but it was a fun and sometimes odd show.

Loved Tracy's last line before Jenna sang that about how not many of you watched, but we still get paid anyways.

The end with future Kenneth and I assume Liz's grand grand daughter was a fitting end to wrap it up.

Super nitpick, but shouldn't Liz's great granddaughter had a different last name than Lemon? Wouldn't Liz's kids have the last name of Liz's husband? Or at least a hyphenated last name?

It's always weird with stuff like that. Like how Lady and the Tramp have kids that look exactly like either one or the other of them but not a combo. Or how Marty's paternal ancestor look like his mom (though some have said that it may indicate a predilection on his father's side to people who look like that). Still though.

It wasn't amazing or anything, but I had a few good laughs.

The show really did need to end - and it's good they didn't string out this season longer.

I liked Jenna's admitting to the audience that she never actually met Mickey Rourke - although I was looking forward to hearing what crazy shit she was up to with Rourke.

My favorite part in the entire episode - loved when Jenna looked into the camera saying that she couldn't do the "It's like the time when I..." anymore One of the best supporting characters.

I did not realize that Jack Burditt played the homeless guy (a nod to Ted Williams?)

Liked how Lutz changed his name to aardvark, but I was hoping for something more to come out of Lutz's obsession with Blimpies. Got a few chuckles but this was just not a great finale - didn't care for the epilogue with the snowglobe and flying cars. And Criss had to be the most bland in Lemon's lovelife...I would have had Lemon waking up in bed with beeper king Duffy.

30 Rock Seasons 1-3 still ace!

In the flashback of Kathy Geist's machine that hugs old people, that was Steve Rhodes from Married with Children.

In the very opening scene of this episode, Liz refers to her family as the Lemon-Cross family... so she and Cris (sp?) either hyphenated or smashed their names together for their new family.

Not sure how they got back to just Lemon for the great granddaughter.

Maybe Criss cheated on Liz and had a baby with the nanny, so the kids changed their names to Lemon.

If anyone could keep a female name going for a hundred years, it's an ancestor of Liz Lemon.

Or, they needed to land a joke in about 30 seconds so that was the easiest way to do it.
