Supernatural -- "LARP and the Real Girl" -- 1/23/13
Synopsis:
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious deaths of two LARPers (Live Action Role Playing) who were playing a game entitled Moondoor. The guys are thrilled to discover the Queen of Moondoor is none other than Charlie (guest star Felicia Day). The three learn that a fairy (guest star Tiffany Dupont) has been commandeered to harm people and the only way to stop her is to find her master. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (#811).
Episode 11 of 23
I liked Felicia Day's last appearance. Too bad her character is lesbian.
I don't think she's hot, but I like that she's a cool chick who likes video games, comics and science fiction.

Self-contained larks like this episode are supposed to be funny. They didn't really do that much with Sam & Dean in this setting, until the final Braveheart moment.

I seriously laughed out loud when they said:
"He was killed by Belladonna."
and Felicia Day says "the poison?!" and Dean says "the pornstar?!" simultaneously.
it still makes me chuckle thinking about it.

See I thought they both said "The pornstar?!" (and that is how it was CC'd) which caused Sam's double take.

Very Fun standalone episode. Kinda corny, but it's good to have these kind of episodes every so often.
Charlie making out with that hot fairy.
Dean doing the Braveheart speech at the end.

Ugh, it's safe for me to now say that whenever Felicia day is on this show...it's going to be a bit of a dud. The ending saved this one (cause that shit was hilarious) and it did remind me that I need to relax and "have some fun" but still....I was getting a bit bored with this episode.

I don't really get the excitement over Felecia Day. I've had this on my DVR for a week now and just haven't really wanted to watch it. I've come close to just deleting it without watching it. I'm definitely done with Supernatural after this season. I'll probably check back in for whenever the series finale is, but I just don't enjoy it anymore. The jokes have fallen flat, the references are always like your once cool, but now left behind by popular culture Uncle, and the wheel spinning plot hasn't been interesting in a while.

Most of the show's budget these days probably goes to pay for the two stars' salaries, leaving little room to explore outside the strict formula the show has always adhered to in the past. The eternally revolving door of supporting cast indicates problems.
