You know, I had a gut feeling but wasn't sure. Glad you like it!

To me it sounds as though the theme song is poking fun at the style of music. I never thought they were trying to make it good.

I thought the show started out iffy last season, but got better and better as the season went on. The second season premier kept the positive trend going. James Franco brought the funny. I actually think this show is actually slightly funnier than New Girl at this point.

I kinda like it. Can't tell you why.

Pretty good premiere last night. Is Franco supposed to stick around for a little while? I hope so.

Funniest bit for me was when Morgan briefly channeled Bane

I want to like this show but it is still suffering the same weaknesses as last year. It's all over the place and not very funny.

That's actually a wig. Part of the character arc.

Re: The Mindy Project (FOX) -- Season 2 Discussion Thread

Turned this in to a season thread.

After returning from Haiti, Casey (guest star Anders Holm) has an identity crisis and thinks being a disc jockey might be his new calling. When Mindy and the office go to a music festival for their "work retreat" to see Casey perform, the substance-filled surroundings lead to a series of disasters. Meanwhile, back in New York, Jeremy hires a new doctor (guest star Adam Pally), whom Mindy doesn't particularly like after he saves the day during an emergency delivery in the all-new "Music Festival" episode of THE MINDY PROJECT airing Tuesday, Oct. 1 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (MIN-203) (TV-14 D, L, S)

That was an odd episode. A lot of plot, a lot of character, but minimal funny.

Edit: I actually liked the episode regardless.

I'm enjoying this show for what it is.

However, there have been a lot of cast changes during season 1, and now it looks like they're adding another doctor to simply replace James Franco who was temporary anyway?

Last night's episode was probably my favorite of this season so far. I cracked up every time someone said 'nads'.

Timothy Olyphant was pretty good as a skater in last night's episode. "My head is filled with science. Yours is filled with non-sci...nonsense"

Makes me wonder if he'll keep the longer hair for the new season of Justified due to air in January.

This show has been improving the entire time it's been on IMO. This ep with the texting was hilarious. They need to ditch the terrible opening credits music and they'd be golden.

Agreed. The intro was extra short this episode. I laughed.

My wife and I love this show. I actually got it for her but started watching myself. I don't think there is an episode yet that hasn't had me busting out loud laughing, which only a few shows can do.

Last episode was fantastic, I especially love her saying she should just crawl into Scott Petersen's boat..

honestly I think this is some of the best comedy writing in a very long time ...

I was dying of laughter when Danny was standing on Mindy's hair in the steam room.

Well, definitely a 'Friends' moment to end the episode last night. On hiatus until April 1.
