Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Synopsis:

Ernie Hudson Guest Stars

"The Pointy End of the Spear" - Kylie works with Admiral Shepard to bring down the President, using evidence of what really happened in Pakistan. This affords Marcus the opportunity to surrender the Colorado, if all goes according to plan, on "Last Resort," THURSDAY, JANUARY 17 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network. Ernie Hudson guest stars as Speaker of the House Conrad Buell, who meets with a small group of Washington heavyweights to discuss the unthinkable when Kylie's video information helps persuade him to participate in a risky and treasonous maneuver.

Episode 12 of 13

Next week is the Series Finale. And yes, Producer Shawn Ryan has said it will have an ending.

Weird that they advertized next week as the season finale rather than the series finale. Why not call it what it is?

this show is just not very good, alot of network shows seem to be missing something compared to even basic cable shows, do all the good writers just work for cable shows now?

This is pretty clearly the weakest of all the Shwan Ryan shows, but starting with the episode that made little sense where the wife "died", I think we have been dealing with them rushing around to tell some type of story that has a conclusion. That's the first time Ryan has been in this scenario where he didn't get to finish out the contemplated first season order for a show. I hope at some point we find out how much meddling was done by the network from the start.

I'd like to see Ryan go make a HBO series next, honestly.

this episode was a mess
too many spider webs of people double and triple crossing each other and the coup fizzling away

Thought the same thing. Wasn't sure who was backstabbing whom.

I'm pretty much just waiting for this show to be over at this point. A little resolution is essentially why I've stuck around this long.

I thought the coup would have been a nifty and different plot element. But unfortunately they defaulted to the old "bad guys figure it out" ...

It could be that the coup story was just going to take too long to tell somehow (though really I kind of doubt it -- it seems the shorter way of getting to a conclusion).

Well, Thursday is the pointy end of the pink slip, so it doesn't really matter.

I know that with both Terriers and The Chicago Code, I was very satisfied with the endings. I'm not sure how much credit to give Shawn Ryan for Terriers, though. Will we get something satisfying (or as satisfying as possible given the mess the past few have been)?
