Synopsis:

In the third-season opener, Aidan resurfaces to find the vampire community has changed a great deal. Meanwhile, Sally struggles to free herself from limbo; Josh and Nora stand up to Ray, and at the same time a new threat comes looking for them in Boston.

13 episode 3rd season

 I know there is at least 1 poster here who is glad that Dichen Lachman is no longer on this show.

YAY! I've been looking forward to this forever.... and I'm not sure if I'm the poster you are talking about, but I think Dichen Lachman's face looks like a bucket of smashed assholes. She gives the ugly asian chick from Grey's Anatomy a run for their money.

Good return.

A lot of setup in this episode.

So Josh is cured for now, but Nora is still a Werewolf?

I was a little confused, why did that Vamp die after sucking on Aidan's blood? I heard him say that he thought Aidan's blood was pure. It's been so long since the last episode.

The procedure the witch did with Nora and Josh to bring back Sally was interesting. Is she in physical form through that body?

Should be an interesting 3rd season. Saw in the preview that Xander Berkeley will be on the show. Nice addition.

Season looks like its going to be interesting. Episode set up some good stuff, not a bad comeback at all.

yeah, I wasn't sure if Josh was cured... by the rules, they either both should be cured or neither. The Amish vamp was already infected, and on his last legs... he was taking Aiden with his supposedly untainted blood to his brotheren so they all could feed and regain strength, and perhaps cure their disease... which obviously didn't happen.

I think that Sally is back in physical form, but with 3 personalities battling around in her head.

Love Xander Berkeley.

I really, really, really, dig this show. I absolutely love Sam Huntington's line delivery...

out of curiousity, how far has this strayed off course from the UK version?

They basically rebooted the entire show from last season. They eliminated all the older vampires in one sentence, gave Sally an actual body and kept Nora around, after it looked like her and Josh were headed to Splitsville.

I think the witch will be the Big Bad of this season's arc.

Oh it's way off by now. The similarities are mainly there's a vampire, 2 werewolves and a ghost.

The shows basically have nothing in common, except the very initial premise.

I just watched the premiere and I liked it. I'm interested in the witch storyline. I like this version more than the UK version. I really liked series 1 of the UK version, but I didn't care much for the rest. I still get annoyed with the hardcore fans of the original who whine about the SyFy version, but they are never pissed at the original creator who sold remake story rights to several companies in different countries.
