Synopsis:

In the Season 2 premiere, Hannah throws a party with her new roommate, Elijah, and is ready to move on in her romantic life despite still tending to a needy Adam and his broken leg. Meanwhile, Shoshanna does her best to avoid Ray; Marnie gets bad news from her boss; and Jessa returns from her honeymoon with Thomas-John.

Loved the 1st season. I know a few people here didn't really like it, but this show really grew on me.

One of the highlights from the 1st season were her sex scenes with Adam and his dirty talk. :lol: Those cracked me up.

Love the writing, love the characters, love the show.

This chick is not just coasting on her mother's coattails, afterall her mother is some obscure artist who most people have never heard of.

I wouldn't say she's the new Woody Allen but she definitely gives us a modern white washed 'Jew-y' perspective of 20 something chicks in NYC.

Altho there is a Sex and the City poster in one of their apartments and the girls clearly moved to NYC thinking they were going to be living SatC, this show is more like the ANTI Sex and the City.

Nothing is glamorous, nothing ever seems to work out in the end and the sex is the most un-erotic sex I've ever seen with very normal pudgy out of shape bodies involved.

Good job Lena! I'm in for more...

I gotta say that the best sex scene from last year was when they showed the parents getting it on. Very surprised to see old lady breast and old man schlong.

Lena Dunham opted to address most of the criticisms of the first season in this episode: the fact that she is an annoying bitch to many and turns people off, to too much nudity by her, not enough by others (especially Allison Williams), and that there is a lack of diversity on the show. She was as bitchy as I've ever seen her, and she cranked the self nudity up by a couple notches.

I'll chalk this disappointing episode up as a fuck you to the critics, and hope for a better show next weekend.

Nice to see it back. I thought it was a good episode.

I'm annoyed that I didn't get through the Blu-ray set for the first season before it returned.

^ Yeah, they almost don't need to put her in that position if she's going to work that hard not to show anything. It took me out of the scene a bit. And on a related note, Zosia Mamet has an awesome body! Hopefully we get a few glimpses of it before the end of the season.

Thought this one was just OK, but that's fine as it seemed like it was more of a setup episode for the rest of the season.

Yeah, the Allison Williams scenes are starting to remind me of the last bit from the first Austin Powers movie...

Alison Williams has a no-nudity clause in her contract. They really just need to stop putting her in sex scenes, it's getting ridiculous.

Just think of it has her character being a prude, which she is. But yea..it was ridiculous. I think she's gorgeous and was surprised thinking she was about to show skin. But no...no she didnt...

Other than Williams holding her arms to her chest in a completely awkward way, I liked the episode. Good set up for the season.

Yeah, at one point there was even an unnatural jump/edit, which I'm assuming happened because she accidentally showed nipple (or more likely, pastie). I'm not saying this needs to be Game of Thrones or anything, but I think if you're signing up for a frank sexual show like this on HBO/Showtime/etc., you should be open to the idea of being naked.
