The Clone Wars and Rebels ever so slightly dabbled with “other” worlds but used them very sparingly and kept the idea very mysterious and vague. Like adding a very strong seasoning to a recipe: just enough to let you know something unusual was there but it didn’t overpower the whole meal.
I saw the Rebels episode with that. Just a big ole can of worms that would cause more harm than good IMO. I’m not a huge fan of the multiverse concept in general and it’s already pulled me out of the MCU. Just not my bag.

I was really disappointed when time travel was introduced into the Star Wars canon in Rebels. Christ, can't one have one big space franchise where time travel is impossible?

I tell ya. I’m starting this from scratch and it’s a dream. I forgot so much, it’s like watching for the first time. I mean sure, I remember some parts, but it seems so long ago with only 3 seasons out, but it’s such a treat. Jon Favreau is a genius in my book and only reason it succeeds above the other pitiful excuses for Star Wars branded tv. Look what he did for Iron Man. He’s brilliant imo, just brilliant.
