Well... they did produce Run Hide Fight, which I found pretty entertaining. Basically, Die Hard in a school.

I only caught it because the live stream was trending on Youtube at the time. Had no idea TDW produced until after it was over.

I'm pretty sure Run Hide Fight was produced independently, Daily Wire just picked it up for distribution. I'll be curious to see how things actually produced by TDW end up looking.

at Gina Carano's statement. You can't cancel me, I'm going to make my own movies

that no one will watch or will end up in the Walmart DVD dump bin.

Fucking idiot.

Doesn't Netflix do something similar with some of their content?

Yes but they are a legitimate media organization.

They're gonna be some "micro-budgeted" films. I saw a story that said from "the producers" of Bonehawk Tomahawk, etc., and BT cost 1.8 million to make. These are the types of films she's gonna try to get into. The rub is that she will be the worst part of them, because she's a horrible actress.

You know, it's easy to make fun of but I hope they turn out something of passable quality (I'll admit, unlikely), the guy they're working with did have producers credits on Dragged Across Concrete and Bone Tomahawk, as well as Run Hide Fight and VFW.

I'm exhausted by the "Poke the bear and play victim" tactics that are absurdly common place, but Carano does fit a female action role that has pretty sparse options. Is she a great actress? No, but I find her passable.

Better yet, people could figure out that they are the products being sold and just ease off the social media platforms.

Every platform does. It seems like they picked a quality product to distribute. I’ll be curious if they can actually create a good film.

Eh, not really. Being an athletic woman who has trained in fighting =/= good action actress. Same issue Rhonda had...great action, HORRIBLE dialogue. They'd both be best as stunt doubles.

There's a reason The Rock has shinned like a bright star where most every other WWE/actor crossover has failed and been regulated to DTV "so bad they're funny" movies.

That's fair, and I completely forgot about Rousey.

Bautista and Cena have had some pretty sizable theatrical roles, though definitely not to the same level as The Rock. And I know a lot of people on this board hate Cena (I find him awkwardly funny.)

Forgot about Bautista. He's been pretty good too.

GSP as Batroc was decent if I remember correctly. I could be misremembering though, as I don't recall if his part was speaking.

He had a pretty heavy accent, that seems to be weirdly beneficial for novice actors.

Yeah, Bautista is surprisingly great. I think Cena has decent acting chops.

And Sasha Banks wasn't horrible, although she was mostly invisible. And c'mon, They Live is a classic (though it has nothing to do with the quality of Piper's acting)

It seems like the UFC woman feel the need to be super "tough" all the time. The male fighters and wrestlers seem to be able to have more fun.

I totally forgot how bad Rousey is in Furious 7

She has like two lines in the credit sequence of the new Charlie's Angels movie and she even sucks there.

I see a lot of attractive, questionable-talent actresses in no-budget horror films. I bet there are many who are athletic enough to fill an action role.

It's worth noting that professional wrestling has built in drama and theatrics to begin with which seems like a more natural transition than UFC. Even if those theatrics are cheese.

Lord knows there's enough dudes who fit that description. See also: Scott Adkins, Vinnie Jones, Stu Bennett, Randy Couture...

Sure, the wrestlers are already performers and used to going "big'.

Dummy is doing and interview with Ben Shapiro. This will help her case.

Keeping this Star Wars related as well, the Cara Dune action figures from Hasbro has been discontinued.

Saw that. Might grab one if they aren’t already pulled from stores. Might have some value someday.

Well... it will be interesting to hear her side. Lots of vids out there now with possible insider info regarding the backlash and the stuff at Lucasfilm.

If anything....its more entertainment and content for me to digest.
