Same here. This looks real good, especially from the footage on YT.

re: The Mandalorian -- Star Wars -- News, rumors, etc. -- possible spoilers

Funny, of all the Star Wars features, The Mandalorian looks more like Solo than any of the others. I guess if Ron Howard had stuck Boba Fett in that thing, it would have been a smash hit.

My biggest concern about this isn't Favreau...it's Filoni - both Clone Wars and Rebels often got too mired down in plotting and forgot to have fun. If there's anything I worry about, it's that he'll try to make the series TOO serious.

Jon Favreau thinks The Mandalorian will be released weekly, not like Netflix.

I think that's a good idea. It builds anticipation and people will talk about it. Netflix shows discussion value die within a week or so when they get binged in 2-3 days.

I’m not really one to binge anyways so I don’t mind. I kinda like the old model of week to week programming personally. Gives me something to look forward to.

Yeah, I'm good with weekly too - I don't have the time to binge, and it's weird when I see people having wrapped up a season of a show in less time than the episodes would be take together.
One episode at a time gives people something to talk about.

I like weekly too, mostly because half you bastards watch it all in a day and then jump online to spoil stuff.

Yeah, a better discussion is something that comes out of a weekly program too in my opinion. Half the time when there’s a full season or series thread I just don’t even get involved because I’m not caught up and don’t want to be spoiled. That and things just get jumbled around with people being in different places in whatever is being discussed. I prefer episode specific threads.

And yet people complain that movies which run for 150 minutes are too long to watch.

I can't sit in my underwear at the movie theater and pause a movie.

You can, you just may not be able to stay the entire time.

Binging is fine since they’re broken down I to 30-60 minute increments. Not the same for long movies.

I’m ready to give Disney my $90 Canadian. I wish I gotten the $23 discount too.
