Star Trek Sheep III: The Wrath of the Sheepmaster

- Rules
- The object of the game is to out-think everyone by picking answers to questions that are the most common (Sheep) or least common (Reverse Sheep).
- Example Sheep question: "Name a common New Years' Resolution." A good answer might be lose weight and a bad answer might be eliminate the Second Amendment.
- Example Reverse Sheep question: "Name a red food." Strawberries might be a bad answer, but raw beef might be a good answer. (Unless everyone is trying to go as obscure as possible).
- Sheep scores are tallied as negative numbers. Reverse Sheep scores are tallied as positive numbers. The lowest score wins.
- The answers to each question are tallied up. Wrong answers in Reverse Sheep are scored two points above the most common answer. Wrong answers in Sheep are not penalized.
- You may not cheat by using Google, Wikipedia, Memory Alpha, etc. Use only what's in your head.
- For purposes of this game, only the five live-action series and eleven live-action movies count as canon.
- Please send in your answers to me via PM. Place only one answer per line, without numbers or the question itself. Those who do not do this will be penalized 10 points right off the bat.
- If you don't answer a question, do not leave that line blank. Please put "I don't know", "no answer", "fuck you", etc. Those who do not do this will be penalized 20 points for each blank space. It messes up my spreadsheet and I hate fixing it because it makes my eyes cross and drives me insane.
- The Borg may or may not be a species. It's been a few years. I might have changed my mind.
- Note: For the purposes of this game, Reverse Sheep answers will be determined to be correct or incorrect based on my whims. I can of course be swayed by evidence, argument, etc. However, a better way to curry favor is by writing a five-star iTunes review of my Star Trek podcast, Trekabout: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/...tz/id560321695
- Sheep questions are marked by an S:, Reverse Sheep questions are marked by an R:.
- I would like to get at least 20 players. People that have run a game in the past or suggested questions to me that I have used have a guaranteed spot.
- Special thanks goes out to The Bus (RIP) for providing the formatting, rules, etc. for me to steal.
- Cut-off to receive answers is Monday January 7 at 6PM EST.
- The Questions
- S: The Original Series produced 79 episodes. Name one of them.
- S: Gene Roddenberry slept with a lot of women. Name a popular female character from any Star Trek television series or movie.
- R: As seen in Deep Space 9, the Dominion War involved many Alpha Quadrant powers. Name one of them.
- S: What year will we see a new Trek show on television?
- R: Name a character from The Original Series who appeared in a non-Original Series Trek television series or movie. Please name both the character and the name of the show or movie they appeared in. Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek into Darkness do not count as non-Original Series movies.
- R: The crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 encountered many alien species during their voyage. Name an alien species that they did not encounter.
- S: Star Trek: Voyager featured the exploits of a genocidal madwoman and her crew of personality-less automatons. Which one of those automatons was the least interesting?
- S: Name the best Original Series comedic episode.
- R: Name a Star Trek character shown, on-screen, getting a promotion in rank.
- S: Star Trek: Deep Space 9 featured many memorable recurring characters. Name one of them.
- R: Name a captain of a starship named Enterprise. No acting captains, please.
- S: Name an alien species that appeared in both The Original Series and The Next Generation.
- S: Name one of the top 10 episodes of The Original Series.
- R: The four founding worlds of the Federation were Andoria, Earth, Tellar, and Vulcan. Name a world that later joined.
- S: Star Trek: Phase II was an aborted effort in the 1970s to relaunch Trek as a television series. What one Trek movie or television series do you wish had also been aborted before it went into production?
- R: Traditionally, Star Trek television series revolve around a main cast member who is a captain in Starfleet. Name one of these five captains.
- R: The Original Series spawned six feature films. Name one of them.
- S: What character is Benedict Cumberbatch playing in Star Trek into Darkness?
- S: 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Name another well-known event that also first occurred in 1993.
- S: Star Trek is known for its optimistic and idealistic view of the future. Of any Trek series, name the episode that best showcases that.
Good luck!

Yeah, this is a bare bones Sheep, to ease back into running a game. I even thought about making it straight Sheep with no Reverse but decided against it because I had some questions I wanted to use that would't have worked as well as Sheep questions.

I prefer it that way, actually. Most of the modifiers never added much to my enjoyment of the game and often just confused things.

I know that is how most people feel, but I loved the crazy level of complexity to some of Bus' games. I have no idea how he ran them so well. It is such a pain to score these things.

You might want to add a qualifier to #6. As it's written right now, Narns, Hutts, and Go'auld are all correct answers.

New answer sent. I had a really good reverse sheep answer for it, though!
The Bus was really good at handling any Sheep game, no matter how complex. He's some kind of sheep savant.

But I get what you're saying.
I bet you haven't even written my podcast a review, have you?

Spoiler alert: You're going to get a 5-star review. I think the concept of the show is great, and you and Richard have a great rapport. And if there was any doubt, I was sold with Richard's Queer as Folk/Doctor Who joke about your ex.
