Kyle MacLachlan just tweeted:
"...thinking about donuts this morning."
I think something is happening (again!) guys.

I'll always be in for more Twin Peaks but would prefer it's not more Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. I just tried rewatching The Return and those Buckhorn / Dougie / Las Vegas gangster storylines were just painful. As was the abandoning of the original cast in favor of others.

There's also a rumor that most of Season Four was already shot back in 2014/2015 and saved until now. It would certainly explain why all cast members back then had to sign a five-year NDA.

Hoping something pans out. I'd pretty much given up hope of any more Twin Peaks.
I was resigned to be grateful for The Return which I loved. Sure there were frustrating even downright silly moments but the original had plenty of them too.
At least this had Lynch directing all the episodes and after such a long drought there was no shortage of surreal brilliance.
With the final episode it felt like a backdoor start of a 4th season and a brand new direction for the series.

A VERY questionable source is saying we're getting two seasons, with a possible film in between. Take that news with a huge grain of salt right now, as the other rumors (about it coming back) have at least come from at least a couple of sources.

If it's just more random filler like The Return, no thanks. If they actually have the show Twin Peaks be about Twin Peaks, maybe.

I love Twin Peaks. I will take a film about the floor sweeper at the Road House if Lynch wants to give it to me.

I loved the original show...and, to a certain extent, liked The Return. But, if all they're going to do is have Kyle McLachlan sit around and drool for 15 hours while Audrey screams about people we don't know, I don't care to see it. Was The Return an interesting show? Yes. Was it Twin Peaks? It certainly didn't feel like it for most of the show.

Agreed. The return was cool, when it was in Twin Peaks. For some reason, I had blocked the whole Vegas (or wherever) portion from my mind, even though it was a large part of the run.

Update: There is no update.
This seems pretty much dead - or maybe there were negotiations going on and nothing happened. Regardless, no more "hints" online and the only cast member to address this directly was Kimmy Robertson ("Lucy") who said she knew nothing and has heard nothing.

I am happy with Twin Peaks as it is. I am curious about the Laura Dern hint about her shaving her head for something, however. Lynch needs to get going on something as mentioned above he is like 150 years old with a cigarette in each hand at all times.

Well, given Robert Forster's death, I'm sure if anything was planned to be announced, there will be a slight postponement now. The only reason most of us thought anything was because no one - Kyle, Michael Horse, Mark Frost, (The Return) producer Sabrina Sutherland, or even Showtime execs would come out and deny there was no more Twin Peaks planned. That's odd, especially since in interviews as recent as six months ago, Kyle said that he didn't think they were doing any more.

If they do do a season four I want Wally Brando to take over as Sheriff.

Hawk deserves to be sheriff. He's badass, calm, and even-tempered.
Not to slight Robert Forster, but, when Ontkean didn't want to come back, Hawk should have been promoted to sheriff.

That's not the case. From what I've heard, Lynch was set on Forster (who he originally wanted back in 1989 for the pilot/series) and offered Ontkean a part - but a much smaller one (about the size that Everett McGill and Sherilyn Fenn got...a few episodes, but not a huge part). Ontkean isn't in the greatest of health, lives in Hawaii, and didn't want to travel to rainy Seattle for what would have turned out to be about one week's shoot (as opposed to a few months for a lead role). He didn't want to do a bit part, so he declined.
