Most reviewers are saying the show gets much better with the next episode.

I thought it had a few moments and am willing to give it another shot.

I got a couple of chuckles out of the fire stuff, but overall pretty bad. The older son was too over-the-top, and he seems to be the focus of the show.

At the end of the day none of the characters were likable enough for me to care about. Just awful.

Just looking at that promo shot makes me want to punch that douchebag in the face.

The commercials and preview promos alone fill me with anger and rage because of the pure unadulterated awfulness of it all. I can't even comprehend actually sitting down and watching this pile of crap. I have never had previews for a show instantly turn me off of it like the ones for this one have done.

So Whitmore remarried, rebuilt the White House, had more kids (his daughter's busy on another show) and one of the aliens is now an obnoxious asswipe masquerading as one of the family?

the only way it could get better is if the aliens come back and torture everyone until they all surrender and quit the show

NBC promoted this as their version of Modern Family

More than half the new comedy show threads people say it's a piece of crap and then later on it ends up being a favorite.

If this show does become someone’s favorite, please stay far away from that person because they are seriously mentally ill.
The goofy son is so off-putting and so stupid that I literally want to smash my TV into a thousand pieces whenever he is in a scene. Season pass: DELETED!

Josh Gad's character ruins the show. Although if NBC wanted to do a better show this could serve as a decent spinoff for Jack Donaghey since 30 Rock is going off the air. I saw him going into politics ala Mitt Romney anyway.

I don't know anything about this show, but I can look at the picture in the first post and tell that the fat guy in the top middle would annoy me so much that it would ruin the show, regardless of how good the other components may be.
