This X10000000.

This episode's highlights: the stand-off between Andrea and Michonne (best single shot of the entire series, IMO), Michonne kicking ass in the Governor's room, and I loved seeing Dennis Wise (The Wire) again.

Question: Wouldn't Rick's crew have noted that huge gaping hole in the fence perimeter (that Tyrese walks through) and sealed it? Or do we just chalk this up to more lazy writing (like Michonne's freeing of Penny...before she removed the hood. DOH!)?

I think that the way it's set up, they have a "safe" area inside the prison and the yard that the walkers can't get to.

That fight between The Governor and Michonne was brutal.

I did think it was pretty ridiculous how she went there with the express purpose of killing him, though. Is Michonne a sociopath in the show? In the comic it made perfect sense because he WARNING: THERE'S A COMIC:
Spoiler:
fucking raped her brutally
before they returned to the town. SO she was a little off and wanted to kill him no matter what. In the TV show, though, what the fuck did he even do to her to warrant going to what, for all she knew, would be her death (I still don't know how the fuck she got out of there so easily)?

Edit: Eh, I guess he did send a band of bumbling morons after her to kill her. Kinda forgot about that...

Why is this always so fucking hard for people? Spoiler tags, use them.

Awesome episode. Some silly plotting, but forgiven by moments of greatness. Glad to see Tyrese show up.

Good job quoting the spoilers, btw, Nausicaa.

Spoiler tags for people who might want to read the graphic novels later. Spoilers go both ways, just because we're in the television thread doesn't mean you should spoil the comics for everyone.

According to Talking Dead, it is coming back February 10.

The previews for the rest of the season made me want to punch Carl in his head.

I sure hope Daryl makes it out alive. I'll be really bummed if he dies in February. Easily my favorite character on the show.

Amazing mid season finale. Lots of stuff going on and great setup for February.

Michonne was awesome in this episode. Loved her fight with the Governor. The cliffhanger with Daryl and Merle was nuts.

And agree, Andrea is a fucking idiot.

I think if Daryl was going to get killed in the immediate future then it would have happened at the end of this episode for maximum impact. To kill him off at the beginning when the show comes back just wouldn't make much sense from a storytelling point of view.

A couple of months ago I was telling a friend of mine that if/when they had Tyreese show up that I was hoping they would get Chad "Cutty" Coleman to play him. Request granted. Thank you Walking Dead.

I guess nothing but that front gate is being defended?

It was pretty funny to see everyone's prediction come true and trade token black guys yet again Glad to see Tyrese as a comic book reader, although i'm sure for everyone else those scenes were pretty boring. It was funny to see Carol called a lesbian though

The end was set up pretty great too, I was wondering how the Governor would react to Merle since he had told them he dealt with Michonne. The end with Daryl/Merle was set up pretty nicely.

The Governor's eye also healed up pretty quickly. I'd think he would be in agony for quite some time, not back out there holding meetings and whatever that quickly. Minor annoyance.
And yet that's the way they had to leave, in a blazing shootout. Seems like sneaking out another area would've made a lot more sense.

As soon as Darryl separated from the group, I knew the cliffhanger was going to involve him.

For some reason, I thought Andrea was going to end up shooting Maggie, even accidentally. Glad she didn't!

Someone tweeted on the Talking Dead that between Herschel, the Governor and Merle, you had a whole pirate!

I also think she really wants to get Andrea out of there but wont admit it.

It looked like Rick was ready to kill Michonne outside of Woodbury which doesn't make much sense.

WARNING: THERE'S A COMIC:
Grow up.

I thought the episode was pretty great. The show is still a little rocky for me, but it's a vast improvement over last season.

If you watched the previews for the remainder of the season, you clearly see that

Spoiler:
Daryl survives

Yeah, AMC really dropped the ball with giving away that plot point. They would have been better off going with no preview.

Same shit happens in the GoT threads. It's not an unreasonable request as there are separate threads specifically for those who would like to discuss differences from the comic or books. Those threads are there to prevent exactly this kind of spoiler.
