After what he did to Glenn and Maggie, I can't see him being allowed to join the main group.

WHAT?! There go my plans ...

Sure enough. Checked AMC's website ... it is now just a Season 3 marathon starting at 8:00pm (central time).

Why do AMC execs insist on trying to screw their own programming?

I suppose I could watch seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix and get a much better picture without commercials ...

True, but it will be interesting to see him try.

As for Daryl, it's been said Reedus gets 10x the fan mail as everyone else so I doubt he's going anywhere.

Seriously what is up with that? It sort of bothers me. They will show violence and gore of a level that if it were a movie it might get a NC-17, yet they won's show a single booby or let loose with a F-bomb here and there, which in this world I would think would happen several times a day. It seems so silly. A

I think that swears could add to the show, but nudity/sex wouldn't really add anything IMO. One thing I don’t really understand about dudes these days is their desire for nudity on T.V. In a world with more internet porn than you could ever consume, why do you still care about seeing boobs on TV?

I wonder if the rumors of AMC dictating certain things on the show alludes to wanting to keep characters like Daryl or Merle around longer. Especially given the video game tie in staring those two.

It is true that if you want to see boobs, it isn't that hard to get your fix, but that really isn't the issue at all. Typically when people complain it is because a show tries to get close to the edge to appear more realistic (so viewers are not taken "out of the moment") but ends up being more distracting because of it.

Imagine fighting off a group of home invaders who viciously attacked your family, you defiantly hold up the gun you wrestled from their grasp, and say slowing, and deliberately, "Now get the frick out of our house you sons of beeswax."

I find ridiculous dodges of obviously appropriate swearing as distracting as a woman turning over after marathon sex holding a pillow over her boobs. I don't care if they zoom in on faces, I hate goofy cover-ups.

I love British TV and pay TV shows. I'd say 17 of the top 20 shows of the last decade fall into those categories. I don't need constant sex and swearing, but it is nice to know that when those two options are organically needed in a story, they are there. Misfits and The Wire both had maybe 2 or 3 real shots of nudity in their entire runs and while I didn't need to see boobs and ass, I'm glad they do it when the creators want it as an option.

Eh, I'm not sure it much matters in regards to the video game. Isn't the game a complete prequel of the TV show anyway? Even if they killed them off in the show it would still be interesting to some people to see their backstory and how they came to be. The game unfortunately looks incredibly awful, so it likely wont matter either way in the end.

I think they will keep them both around nonetheless. Daryl is incredibly popular and I don't even think he has come close to what he could become as a character, and Merle is just an incredible character to hate. My wife thinks I'm crazy for him being one of my favorite characters, but the actor is just so darn good at being an asshole.

I haven't paid much attention to the game, but I would imagine its easier to market characters that are alive and still popular opposed to ones that have been killed off. I don't know, that's just me.

Yeah, but the other walking dead games has all of the dead cast members in on Facebook (prequel) and I thought the PC game had entirely new characters?

So according to Glen's friends on Twitter's cryptic comments, it looks like clashes with Kirkman are what lead to his exit. No clue on over what; I guess whatever direction they go in for season 4 we'll know Glen wanted to do the opposite.

I read an article somewhere today that mentioned that they didn't have enough material for the second half of the season... Could be bad, folks.

Yeah, this article from the other day mentioned Kirkman as the reason too.

Not enough material? I stopped reading the comic around issue 25 because of season 3 spoilers. Aren't at least 100 issues?

Not enough material?

I'm halfway done with the second collection and I'm looking forward to them visiting some of the plot lines and characters. Even if it wasn't based on a comic book it is possible to create stories from scratch.

When they say Not enough material, I think that means they were behind on scripts. Obviously there is a shit load of material to work off from.

Luckily this show starts filming early (I think May or June) Gives the writers plenty of time to get scripts done.

I just finished reading Issue 89... there's a lot that they can cover and some pretty interesting characters to introduce.

Sounds like more fuel for my "Kirkman takes over as showrunner" theory ...

Re: The Walking Dead -- Midseason Finale -- "Made to Suffer" -- 12/02/12

Just caught up with this show, watched all episodes in a few days to the midseason break

Talk about one of the most improved shows season to season ever !

I thought they blew their wad with the zombie/action budget in the first episode. Boy was i wrong ! great season, just about every episode movie level excitment with some great gutsy plot twists (i have never laid eyes on the comic so it's all new to me)

Still has good character development amongst the carnage. Really glad the old guy has taken a back seat this season, his morality BS ruined last season.

The new characters have all been excellent additions for the most part

There have been some really intense action set pieces

Many guys don't want to see random all the time boobs. Sometimes it's nice to see the boobs of the actresses they know and like.
