But she might be screwed if she makes the finals, if Penner tells the other jurors who she is.

What would be funny to see is if she makes the final three without it coming out who she is and watching the jury's reaction when they find out seconds after the final vote and it's too late to do anything with the info.

I would have been pissed if I paid $300 for a baked potato...but that's just me.

It's hard to believe that Malcolm and Denise have made it this far (and have a good chance to be in the final 3) considering how things started for them.

I think everyone gets so comfortable in thinking "it's not me" that they let their guards down, although this one looked like it was taken pretty damn quick.

Some starving player sees the others getting great food items, spends most (if not all) of their money, only to be crushed to see dirty water or pickled cow brains. And the next mystery item turns out to be fabulous 3 course meal.
Agreed. I expected *somebody* to get screwed in the deal. I can't believe no one did. It's a Survivor tradition!

Yeah but a lot of Survivor competitions end up coming down to untying knots. Maybe it's an attempt to level the playing field a little bit.

Carter gives up his auction item for rice and beans for the tribe and Lisa still tries to outbid him on another item even though she already had a meal? That was pretty shitty if you ask me.

Past contestants have said that Probst yells at them if they don't bid against each other, threatening to end the auction early. Of course that always gets edited out for broadcast.

This season is tops. Love it.

I can't stand Abi but her telling everyone that there were two clues.

Any Ponderosa watchers out here?

LOL at Pete's 2 webisodes, they didn't show Jeff talk once. RC has zero friends there

Yeah, I've liked Penner since his first season of his Survivor but that was probably because I liked him from "Rude Awakenings" on Showtime. I don't know why he doesn't get more acting work. His IMDB page doesn't show anything for the past 4 years or so. His wife's page is equally as empty for those years. I wonder how they support themselves now. I hope he hasn't left too early to get the viewer's prize. I could see most of the general TV watchers voting for either Malcolm or Lisa though.

If it's not cool to buy more than one item, then everything should just sell for $500. The point of winning a low bid is to still have enough to get something else.

Yeah, I think they haven't had a gross item at the auction for several seasons. They're going too easy on them.

Yup, he has no one to blame but himself. Strategy gets him again.

No way. Malcolm and Denise are tight. You'll notice that in all the blind-side/voting out strategizing, no one has ever approached Malcolm or Denise about voting the other one out.

This. I know...let me sit out the entire challenge then have me untie 8 knots. I'm the winner!
Super lame. At least keep it in the spirit of the challenge and make her have to think about how she's going to weave her way through the course. I would hope the smallest fingers can untie knots the fastest. There was no strategy to it like the first two legs of the challenge.

Especially with the "she can't climb" commentary at the start of the IC.

Re: Survivor: Philippines -- "Hell Hath Frozen Over" -- 11/28/2012

Someone asked Skupin over twitter if there were any "bad" auctions that weren't shown -

"Malcolm paid a ton of $$ for 1 french fry. Cupcakes & milk was another"

And Lisa also tweeted that Carter did win a meat auction too, that also wasn't shown.

Penner said on his Twitter that he had a Final 3 alliance that they didn't show, that's why he turned down Lisa.

I look at the auction now as just another interesting reward challenge. Give the people a break. They are basically starving.

This is really terrible, but I hope Denise goes soon. imo, she is just so.... unattractive... and she's a sex therapist... there's some irony lol...
