Apparently carrie & saul talked about it earlier this season, but just now got to it. Although I don't think a lot of actual time has passed, only a couple weeks. The rational was that, even though this op was completely off the books, to have it led by someone who was a complete stranger to both of them was very suspect.

Agreed but in this ep when they did it, they never seemed to tell her about the findings?

One thing I think I missed. Saul interviews the Philly cop, tells guy to expect a phone call and then Quinn's phone rings. Who did they think was her baby daddy?

It's Quinn.

When the were searching his apartment they found a picture of her and the baby stashed in a book, which is what led them to her.

They knew Quinn's phone would ring. Saul wanted the bald dude to gauge his reaction and see what he would do.

Carrie would simply out Quinn before they could make any type of play. She's best left out of the loop.

Isn't the guy who looks like Matthew Perry just the cousin of the bald guy that was brought in to help out in season 1? All of a sudden he's like a super spy.

because as soon as saul knows quinn is an assassin and there to take out brody, he can't tell carrie. She would flip out and blow everything. Saul probably wouldn't approve of brody getting waxed, but he's only concerned about stopping the attack at this point.
