Lauren Cohan is a good looking babe. Glenn getting tortured was pretty tough to watch, but they cut away from the worst of it. Loved his emotion after fighting off the zombie too.

Didn't care for the rest of it, especially Michonne meeting up with Rick. Kind of dumb for her to still be so silent and aloof after seeking out that group, and the extra scene with them encountering the random shack was just a waste of time.

Damn, Lauren Cohan.

Funniest part of tonight's episode: Act ends with the zombies munching down on flesh, blood and guts everywhere. The screen fades to commercial, and the next sound you hear is "Brought to you by KFC." I cracked up.

I was impressed with Andrea's ass too!

I really liked the electronic bass/heartbeat music they ended the episode on. Getting pretty tense.

Would've been pretty sweet if they had tossed the cabin guy to the walkers while he was still alive.

I laughed my ass off. It suddenly cut to "KFC - Tastes So Good!".

Gonna need a screen grab on that one.

Alright, who's going to be the first "clever" comic reader to give something away?

It's all aliens! Glen is a cyborg and the story is all happening in an autistic boy's imagination!

Edit: in last week's thread there was talk of a character having been cast who would be introduced in next week's episode. Did we get a glimpse of him walking past Andrea at the very end? I couldn't quite tell if it was the actor mentioned, or if I'm a racist who thinks all black people look alike.

I left this vague for the spoiler wary, but I think he's a great choice for the vampire king.

Back on point, I believe that was Jo Stafford on the record player. Anyone confirm?

I'm glad I was able to guess who was going to be the first to complain about comic spoilers, even references that aren't necessarily spoilers.

Rest well in the knowledge that you're simply a racist.

I thought the same thing.

How could anyone think it was? That actor's been part of the Woodbury cast since the 3rd episode.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "When the Dead Come Knocking" -- 11/25/12

Great episode. They've really turned this show around.

Michonne is still a problem. The issue is that they've opted to turn her into a stereotypical "bad ass" (barely speaks, has a "cool" weapon, etc) rather than a real character. At this point I'm more emotionally vested in U-Dog (who probably should have worn a red shit to the assault on Woodbury).

Re: The Walking Dead -- "When the Dead Come Knocking" -- 11/25/12

At this point Michonne heard Merle talking about his brother, but she only mentions that Glen and Maggie were taken, not by whom. I mean, it would be useful to know that the guy who took them was "a one armed man was looking for his brother, and he seemed to know the guy but not the girl." Even if she didn't hear the entire conversation, he is a one armed dude with a knife for a hand. I think that would be good to know.

Also hearing names of group members would help her figure out that these are also the same people Andrea was talking about. This information could have helped them before heading out. Either she forgot a lot or is conveniently leaving out some important stuff.

Talking Dead minor speculation:
Spoiler:

They were speculating that Michonne is holding onto this information, and maybe she doesn't want to overplay her hand, but I don't see how that works to her advantage with this assault. Daryl would be better mentally prepared if he knew his brother was in there, right? If they figured out Andrea was there then they would also need a plan to get her out as well.

I have mixed thoughts on this ... true, it wasn't full of action or emotional revelations (like we've had most of the season) ... but it did move the plot forward more than many other episodes.

I do have a couple of things:

How did Merle know Maggie is "a farmer's daughter?" Later in the episode he (correctly) states he had never seen her before.

Was the zombie in the red/pink shirt outside the prison Morgan? Or is Major Joe just a racist? :)

The dead dog was a good touch (to cover the guy's scent). But the guy acted like he didn't have a clue what had happened in the world ... odd.

Nice to see Two-Dog getting the same love that T-Dog did. A little action, carrying the weapons, bringing up the rear, and maybe one line. Or are the show creators just racist?

And, oh, by the way ... the walkers all went for the guys guts and soft tissues. I didn't see a single one taking a bite out of his skull ... (yes, I'm having a hard time letting go of that).

For next week's preview ...
Spoiler:
Carl and somebody are fleeing walkers and Carl yells "You have to leave her!" Since Baby AssKicker has been named (an impending sign of doom), does anybody else believe he is referring to the baby?

On Talking Dead they said that the guts are made of BBQ, so there's your reason why the actors just eat the insides!

I would be the first to cry "meh" and "filler episode," but I actually enjoyed this one quite a lot. Rick's reunion with Carol was touching. They exchanged so much in a couple brief looks. I thought that was extremely well done by both actors. I am so glad that Maggie didn't get what I thought the governor was going to give her. I was ready to fast forward if that asshole started to drop his pants. I want the governor to come to a bad end.

This show has turned around so much since last year. I was all but ready to dump this through most of season 2 and just kept watching out of inertia. I'm glad I didn't as this season has just been fantastic.

I thought that was just to show the guy was crazy. He kept a dead dog around. He probably had a mental breakdown after the zombie outbreak.
