Why didn't they make Jan the new manager after Michael Scott left?

It seems so obvious now.

Altho a little of her goes a long way...

Wow. The morning after a new episode and only two posts. People have really given up on this show.

Re: The Office -- "The Whale" -- 11/15/12

I laughed when Dwight was talking to Wallace and told the receptionist to run into the bathroom to tell Stanley to "suck it" (was it suck it?). Also was laughing at the women teaching Dwight how to talk to women.

I like the new hires too, I liked what one of them said about how good looking they were with the mustaches.

Other than that, I can't wait for this show to end.

Re: The Office -- "The Whale" -- 11/15/12

Jan was a nice surprise. This show isn't nearly as good as it was several seasons ago, but I still find it worth watching each week. Nellie doesn't bother me as much as others on here, but I agree that Andy has basically no redeeming qualities this season.

That said, this was a pretty funny episode, maybe because Andy was gone. Funny how it seems like this is often the Dwight and Pam show--they don't even know what to do with Jim.

I liked the way they handled Oscar and Angela and the Senator.

I liked Toby growing out his mustache and looking like a pedophile.

I like where they put Stanley this episode. That's where they should put him every episode until this series ends.

Any chance Michael Scott appears in an episode? Might as well since they seem to bringing everyone back for one last appearance.

I think this episode was much better without Andy in it. His part of the episode was actually the part I didn't enjoy.

Dwight pimping out the intern was pretty funny as well. "He's been growing that mustache for weeks."

Oscar's doesn't think very quick...he should have just answered the call and said, "Hi, Kevin...We'll be back in the office soon." or something like that.

I just wonder who's in charge of The Office while Andy is away shooting Hangover 3, I mean boating.

This episode had its moments. Not really giving a damn about Jim's storyline. Is Andy the week link? This episode didn't miss him at all.

Totally agree. This episode was awesome. Plenty of story movement and a lot of good gags.

Anyone too stupid to sit in his car to make that call deserves to be rooted against.

I'm rooting against Oscar more. Jim is an idiot though. Sit in your car, dummy. Or go into Andy's office.

I really liked this episode. Great to see Jan back. I wasn't expecting that at all.

Go in your car, conference room, Andy's office. That was just dumb beyond belief.

I think they were giving Dwight lessons in the conference room, but I'm sure that Daryl would have let him borrow his office for a few minutes. I'm more curious as to what the hell Jim could possibly know about sports marketing.
