Don't have a problem with his exit comments though. The prizes on these shows should be AFTER taxes.
That's not Obama's fault, no matter what your party affiliation is, CBS decides the prize money and if they wanted to make sure you got a million AFTER taxes, they would.

I think it's lame that after 20-something seasons that they've never raised the prize. Hell, they don't even give away a car like they used to in the final reward challenge.

Red Dog, I thought that at least the first All Stars winner got $2 Million, but i could be wrong. I agree that the prize should be upped due to inflation.

I missed the last parting words from Jeff. Can someone post what exactly did he say.

See seemed like a nice person also. The only thing that I didn't like about her was that she aligned with and trusted that Brazilian girl. Sorry, but she seems to be one of the most vile people cast on this show.

No. It was a million for All-Stars. The difference is that they created the fan vote prize that season so they could give Rupert a million. He actually ended up winning more money that season than the actual winner.

In other Rupert news, he came in third in the Indiana Governor's race on Tuesday.

That's one of the big ways the game has changed from the early seasons. People scramble for alliances the second the game starts, and if you're not in on it you can find yourself being the tribe outcast (and early boot). RC didn't have enough time to realize that Abi was a lunatic.

I don't think Abi is vile (Colton and Alicia last year fit that description much better). She's just paranoid and stupid.

This week's deleted "secret" scene is a Carter confessional:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Pf9O5IJlkoQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This guy's like the real-life Zoolander.

"When there's two teams competing ... one's gonna win and one's gonna lose"

"Brain muscle is efficient as well"

Has his facial expression ever changed from that blank clueless look?

Great episode. Loved the fact that Malcolm kept the idol. I would've done the same thing.

I wonder why Penner voted for Abi. To ensure there wouldn't be a tie?

It would have been refreshing to see him say, without using a number, that's he's made a LOT of money playing professional baseball, but that he really just wanted to WIN the game of Survivor.
No one has every accused Jeff Kent of being humble or classy. Idiot doesn't realize his taxes the last twelve years (two under Bush, one under Obama) are the lowest in his lifetime.

These past two episodes have been pretty amazing. I'm guessing Penner voted abi to get Jeff out but will make it seem like someone else voted her out to keep it with both alliances.

Hell, she looked pretty clean while on the island like she had all of her beauty products right there with her or something.

I bet the bikini/blazer look will be in next season because of her.

I'm not sure why they stopped giving away cars; maybe it was because winning a care guaranteed that you wouldn't win the $1M prize. That was a running joke in the early Survivor seasons.

After seeing Jeff on his way out devolve into a greedy, rich conservative whiner, it became a pleasure to see him voted out. He did finally take off the nice-guy mask to truthfully describe himself, however. He IS a "7th inning loser".

Maybe the fan vote is why I thought that.

In regards to Carter, are they trying new editing this season, or will he be easily voted out and be as forgettable as they've made him out to be?

I haven't really picked anyone as my choice for a winner this season, however, I do like Malcolm's chances at the moment.

The prize value has actually dropped, because $1,000,000 in today's US dollars would be equivalent to $700,000-$800,000 in the year 2000.

Yeah, well ratings for the show have dropped overall for the show a lot since 2000 also. I'm sure that ad revenue has likewise declined greatly too.

Definitely true, but I still imagine they make a nice profit. More so since they began shooting seasons back to back in the same locations.

Re: Survivor: Philippines -- "Dead Man Walking" -- 11/07/12

Any baseball fans that remember Jeff Kent aren't surprised at what a dick he is. He had a big time feud with Barry Bonds in a classic clash of the assholes.

Good episode. A lot going on but it was quite the fuck up there at the end. I wanted Jeff to win because I think it would have been funny so that sucks. I also liked Lisa but she really has no clue what she's doing. She could have played a good, under the radar, game and hung in there and gotten into a favorable finals. Instead she put herself right in the cross hairs.

RC loved Pennars "right on" when she walked in.

Loved this episode. The chaos at the end was fun.

Carter reminds me of a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure.
