Hollywood Reporter gave this a pretty good review. They said it has the potential to be a breakout hit.

Pretty good review from LA Times

Out of all the new sitcoms premiering, I think this one easily looks like it has the most potential to catch on with people.

I hope it catches on. Will Arnett deserves a hit show.

I'm really looking forward to this one, probably more than any other new fall show. But my concern is, if it does get renewed and all, how do they keep this premise up for more than a couple of years? Kids do eventually stop waking up and screaming in the middle of the night. Anyways, nitpicky. Just gonna enjoy the ride for now.

/\ Simple. Add more kids.

I'll give it another shot, but I didn't find this to be that funny.

I thought it was cute. Didn't really like the talk show host character, but Arnett came off well and Applegate is always enjoyable. I'll tune in again.

Arnett will make me give it a bunch of episodes (I watched every ep of Running Wilde).

I couldn't get into this, but I'll give it a couple more episodes before I pull the plug. It's better than Running Wilde dreck, so at least Arnett is moving in the right direction.

I liked it. I thought it was cute.

It was a little light on laughs, but it's the 1st episode and comedies take time to develop.

Arnett and Applegate were pretty good and have good chemistry. I think Arnett's character being a father and stay at home Dad will make him alot more relatable to viewers than that weirdo spoiled rich guy he played on Running Wilde. Amy is a really cute baby.

I liked the bleeped cursing in the beginning and end and I liked seeing Chris, Reagan and Ava go out and get shit faced.

I hope the show does well in future weeks, but next week it's facing Survivor, X Factor and The Middle, so it's got some tough competition.

It was pretty bland. I'll give it one more week.

It's ok I guess.. I like the cast a lot so I'll give it a few more eps, even if I don't have any kids..

My only issues is I'm not really a fan of yet another show with some neuter guy who can't figure out how to do mundane everyday tasks like grocery shopping as if he is incompetent with out his wife's hand holding.. Still, as I said, like the cast a lot so worth a few more eps..

I thought it was pretty funny. Maya Rudolph was a little much, which I know her character is supposed to be, but I'm not sure I'll like her schtick every week.

And the character of Gob is so ingrained with Arnett that it's almost like I'm watching Gob pretending to be thoughtful and loving and will suddenly turn into his normal self at any moment. We kind of got a flash of Gob when he was saying goodbye to Applegate at the door and screwed up the order of his words ("Still mad me, Michael?").

The show has some tightening up to do, but we liked it so far.

I thought it was okay. Many shows I love have had bad pilots. 30 Rock had a horrendous pilot and look how that turned out...

May Rudolph was a little too over the top here. She was doing her Oprah from SNL complete with the name dropping...

Maya Rudolph ragged it down. She was hardly in Bridesmaids....

I definitely saw a little GOB in him during this episode. That's not a bad thing in my book.

I kinda liked it. I'll check out next weeks.

Ok since I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering I'll be the bad guy here...Applegate looked *very* flat chested in this - I take it she didn't/can't get a new set of breasts installed?

It better be decent after two months worth of continuous TV spots. I'm thinking it's a quick cancel however.

I really enjoyed it and hope it stays on.
Nothing wrong with Maya Rudolph--she was the funniest one on the show.
The karaoke scene was hilarious! I love that CA was singing "Rocky Top", and what were they doing together, "It's Raining Men"?
@wz42--Yes you must be the bad guy. I didn't notice the chest at all.

Maya Rudolph's presence ensures I will never watch this. I just can't stand to look at her.

Normally I like her but she was the worst part IMO. Everything she did fell completely flat.

Agreed. I mentioned her Oprah on SNL - and that's how I like her - in small doses. She was putting it on thick then and it's an extended version of that now.

10.9M viewers and 3.7 in the 18-49 demo.

Great numbers for an NBC sitcom. However, expect a dropoff next week when it moves to 8pm when it's leading off the night.
