Spoiler:
I love this show. |

Zooey had the "Sexy Lucy" working in this episode. That car show sequence looks like something from the Lucy SHows.

Also, flashbacks with "fat" Schmidt busted me up. Some of the funniest stuff I've seen on this show. |

This might be my favorite episode of the entire series to date. Everything about it worked. The Russian model roommate was spot on, the monkey cracker ad was unexpected and awesome, a butt drinking reference AND a boobie slap fight. So good.

Nick was on fire this episode!

I have no idea what others saw in this episode, there wasn't one line except the monkey line they kept repeating that was memorable. The bromance story went nowhere and wasn't funny. I think this show's staff must write in separate teams, because some episodes don't even feel like the same show.
The animated cartoon was a nice gag, I will give them that. |

I thought it was kind of a down episode as well, but I did enjoy the car show. I enjoyed the cookie stuff at the beginning and seeing how Nick and Schmidt became friends, but the rest of their storyline was just okay for me.
Was that the best integrated example of extreme product placement on a show, ever? No "the F-150!" or "Nissan Versa!" exclamations that are weirdly out of place for characters. They spent 3 minutes(!) detailing every feature of the Ford Fusion but it seemed somewhat realistic given that she works as a model and they do that stuff at car shows. I was kind of impressed with their ingenuity... and hope it doesn't become a regular thing. :) |

Nick is quickly becoming my favorite character on TV. He's hilarious.

"Wash the towel? The towel washes me!" "C'mon, we all wear eachother's underwear!" |
Re: New Girl -- "Models" -- 10/23/12
Nick at the end repeating "gave me a cookie, got you a cookie" was hilarious to me. The boob slap was great, but I liked the comments after it by each girl. Like Jess saying something about feeling like she felt front first.

I thought it was great, as usual.
"I don't even know who Jay Cudler is." "Why are you saying Jay Cutler like that." Good stuff from Nick. |
Re: New Girl -- "Models" -- 10/23/12
The repeated 'gave me a cookie, got you a cookie' lines had me busting up. I think I watched that part six times.
