16 episode 3rd season
Expect AMC to split the season up. I'm going to assume 8 will air this Fall and the final 8 will air in Spring 2013. According to a tentative schedule, the 1st half of this season will end of December 2nd.

If you don't have AMC because of the Dish Network dispute or don't have cable. Don't be cheap and pirate the show. Support it legally and either buy the episodes off Amazon, Itunes or your XBox 360/PS3. They should be posted Monday morning.

BTW, I created a thread for The Talking Dead. I know not everyone here watches it because of spoilers and the late hour. But if we can keep discussion of future episodes, comics, new characters in that thread, that will hopefully keep some of the bickering out of the episode-specific threads.

heads-up, my DirecTV DVR isn't recognizing tonight's premiere as a new episode, so I had to record it manually.

Just finished Season 2 last night so I am pumped for this. I found Season 2 to be much more satisfying than Season 1.

Yeah, I know the show can go its own route, but I can't wait to see if they "go there" with some of the events from the comic--with regard to the prison and the Governor.

Check your manual recording. Same thing happened to me, so I recorded it manually. Just checked my To Do list now, and the manual recording wasn't listed. Just re-manual recorded it.
