Two episodes in and I am very pleased with things so far. It really looks like they're going all out this season.

Wow this was another fantastic episode. The stuff at the beginning with Dexter and Deb was great with Dexter revealing more of the truth to her and telling her how Harry trained him. Also really liked the scenes with Dexter and the convict. I was pretty surprised by what happened at the end
Also am very curious to see where LaGuerta investigating the blood slide and going back to the Bay Harbor Butcher case is going to go. I wonder if she'll make it out of this season alive or if Dexter will view her as a liability that needs to be taken care of. Next week's episode looks to great as well.

I want Deb to find out a bit more, such as when she almost caught Dexter with Lumen behind that sheet, or that Rita's death was not random, and that Dexter killed Trinity. So much for her to learn!

I don't think Louis is going to be intimidated. Maybe he's a budding (or perhaps has already started) serial killer and will turn out to be this season's big bad.

I guess Dexter and Deb are just leaving Harrison to live with Jamie while she's in her intervention phase. You would have thought that might have been a discussion point between the two of them.

Great stuff.
The opening scene with Dexter and Deb was very intense. I wonder if she still wants to bang him now?
At least now they are giving LaGuerta a significant storyline trying to clear Doakes name. Man, I miss that character. I loved how he absolutely hated Dexter and how they always went at each other.
Not sure where they are going yet with the Russian Mob angle, but I kind of like the addition of Ray Stevenson. That kill was pretty brutal.

I wonder if/when she will ask about Rita. Then again, I don't think she would suspect Dexter, since Rita was found dead and reported to the police. She might still wonder if he had something to do with it indirectly, that she wouldn't have been killed if not for Dexter's killing.

Nice to see them not dragging out the Dexter/Deb reveal, at least in TV terms because in reality Deb would be asking a hell of a lot more questions. Also agree that this season is far superior to last season already. And one thing this season has proven, as we always suspected less is definitely more when it comes to LaGuerta.

Wouldn't it make sense for Dexter to tell Deb about his troubles with Louis at this point? Deb would be highly sympathetic since she'd see Dexter's anger against Louis' serial killer game as a positive sign. And if Dexter's not going to kill him, Deb can do more to keep Louis out of Dexter's life within the law. Of course, that would make it tougher to kill Louis without Deb knowing if Dexter ever has a change of heart about putting Louis on the table But according to his code, Louis hasn't done enough for Dexter to kill him.

Yeah, really great episode. Agree with everyone, this may be one of the best seasons ever, and not big villain, a la Trinity, yet!

Great role for Stevenson in this show. Agree that this season has been solid thus far. Quinn better watch himself -- he's prone to making dumb mistakes.

As others have stated, this season is already better than last... and it's such a refreshing change with Deb knowing.
Deb really should be asking a lot more questions. She knows that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher and knows Doakes was set up - but she didn't ask how/why Doakes died? Is she not starting to piece together things from the past like Trinity killing Rita and other stuff?
I'm actually happy to see LaGuerta in the show now - because her storyline means something to Dexter's situation.
I don't get why Dexter doesn't tell Deb about the intern. She knows he's a serial killer, the intern situation isn't exactly going to freak her out.
Would Wayne Randall (Mr. 3 state killing spree) be able to move about so easily? Sure he was cuffed and chained, but there didn't seem to be a cop actually watching him - they just seem to be in the area. Not hard for him to take a hostage with his chains around someones neck, or, you know, jump in front of a truck like he did.
Miami has the worst cops ever.

Wonder how Deb would react if Dexter says "Oh, you know that manhunt you're doing for Mike's killer? You can stop that now."
I think it helps this season that the end is sight now. There's no status quo to maintain, and the writer's can build to an ending where anything can happen (with no pressure about what to do for future seasons).
