Guess I forgot some characters. Who is on the far left & who is between Rumple & Charming? Belle?

My DVR is set to record an episode at 7 before "Broken". Is this a special/preview?
I think the character on the left is Red Riding Hood, perhaps?

Hope some of you got caught up and will join in. I know there is so much on tonight and alot of you probably won't have time to watch this tonight.

I've definitely been looking forward to this. Last season was great--I can't wait to see how they handle things now that the spell is broken.

Thanks, I thought it was something like that.

This was a fun premier. In one of the previous threads someone called it that in Season 2
Spoiler:
Emma would end up in the fairy tale world.
So it was nice to see that happen. Also, one of the episodes is called
Spoiler:
"We Are Both"
so it seems they have some pretty good ideas to stretch this out to another season and maybe even a third.

Oh and loved seeing
Spoiler:
Jamie Chung as Mulan.

But what ever became of August? Did he revert? I found it weird that Emma didn't even mention him once. I also found it odd how Regina denied knowing
Spoiler:
Jefferson.

And I guess Doctor Whale won't turn out to be
Spoiler:
Monstro?

Will Snow and Belle stuck in the fantasy world be the full season arc?

I think so. Although I'm sure there will also be another season arc in Storybrooke.

She's not . It's Emma. Gives them a chance to expose her to that world.

I didn't notice that Charlie Goose said Belle rather than Emma.

I'm not terribly interested in this storyline with Emma and Snow in the fairy tale world. It would have been a lot more interesting if they had melded the two worlds instead.

Did anybody notice in the previews for upcoming episodes that:

Spoiler:
Sir Lancelot is gonna be black? I guess in this world it doesn't matter much since it's a land where all fairy tale characters converge, but still it does beg the question, what color will the Black Knight be?

Any guesses on who Doctor Will is? I'm trying to remember if there are any major fairy tale characters who haven't been introduced yet.

It's Doctor Whale, actually. Hence why I always assumed he was Monstro in human form. But his comment of Charming not being his prince makes me wonder if he might be
Spoiler:
King Arthur
or if the comment was simply in reference to Prince Philip.

Then again, could Whale be
Spoiler:
Merlin?
After all, back in the Beaty & the Beast themed episode from season one, we saw
Spoiler:
a magician's hat and a peculiar sword
in Rumplestiltskin's palace.

I'm taking a bet, absolutely not. They need to interact with the other lead characters of the show.

Re: Once Upon A Time -- Season Premiere -- "Broken" -- 9/30/12

I've wondered who Dr. Whale is since it never seemed obvious.

So, who's the mystery man at the start of the show in New York? Since it is someone outside of Storybrooke, is it supposed to be Rumple's son? Who would be sending a pigeon to the mystery man to let him know the spell is broken? August? August is, seemingly, the only one from outside of Storybrooke that would know of someone else.

EDIT Thinking about it, I would think that Rump's son would have to be older than Autumn at this point, so I'd temporarily scratch him off as the mystery man.

Re: Once Upon A Time -- Season Premiere -- "Broken" -- 9/30/12

I watched this online last evening and really liked it. Looking forward to another full season. The introduction of Mulan along with Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora was a definite plus for me. I think I enjoyed that part of the storyline more than the rest but I always enjoy how they tie what is happening in fairytale land to storybrooke.
